This has worked fine and has held up. The old one had gotten chewed by mice. It fit exactly as it should for what I needed it on.

This coil is a near exact match for a Craftsman DLS 3500 20 HP 42 inch mower. I searched everwhere to find a working match and this one did the trick. Quite literally it saved me thousands not having to get a new mower. Finding parts for these 20 year old mowers has become quite a challenge and I was thrilled this worked so well.

Not satisfied at all with this coil. I ordered using a part number. The pictures seem to match the original coil but here are the major differences, the holes for the bolts to go through are incredibly small. I don't know what manufacturer would attach a coil using such small bolts. I waited a few days for this coil so rather than sending back and getting a refund I modified to make the bolts fit through. The other difference is that the coil cable comes with a different terminal than the original. It does come with a different spare terminal if you want to take it apart and re crimp the spare one on. Not only are the holes too small but they're spaces out at the incorrect length for the engine they're supposed to attach to. Overall wrong all around for me.
