Pilot Whiteboard Marker Pens and Refill Ink – Dry Wipe – Chisel Tip - Green Ink – Pack of 12

Purchased this lot to remove the xylene-toluene stench of "regular" (Expo) type markers from my classroom.These smell faintly of alcohol, which dissipates quickly.They write well enough on a slant (sometimes lines are faint or striated when holding the marker at a more usual angle) and ink can be seen from 5.5 meters back from the board (back of my classroom). They erase cleanly with a dry or damp rag. They can squeak as you write though....but not like squeaky chalk of the olden days!Will update if any issues arise re. usable life of the marker (though they are refillable).Never received the refill ink, however, though I did contact the seller multiple times. 4 stars for markers, minus one for no refill ink.UPDATE: the screw-on collars/caps can crack fairly easily if handled carelessly by students or colleagues. So far not a deal breaker for me because the freedom from solvent stench is wonderful. However, minus another star for flimsy brittle plastic.UPDATE 2: seller resent the missing ink. Adding one star back! (Minus one for brittle plastic- not the seller's fault)My students *much prefer* the nonstinky markers to the horrible toxic ones!!!

My order came without the ink refill bottle. I thought that it might ship separately, but it never showed up. Now it is too late to return. I just want the ink refill. The ink is a bit pale. Not as dark as most dry erase markers. Difficult for students to see at the back of the classroom.

It is a good set of markers if you do not require ink. If you are like me, who bought the set for the ink, stay away from this.
