How much clearance does the cradle need on the side? How wide are the base legs? I'm wondering if I can fit it between my bed and the wall.

It is currently packed away, but it is not as wide as a nightstand and my daughter had no problem fitting it between her bed and the wall in that amount of space. She is now planning to use this cradle for my second grandchild!

I am looking for a bassinet that is low to the ground since my baby is on the ground. Is this low?

It is 12 inches from the ground to the base of the cradle. From the base to the top it is 13 inches. Our bed with the box spring is 22 inches. It could work with how you are intending to use it. It would seem that you will be able to see the baby through the mesh with your bed being on the floor.

It is possible to make the legs a little be longer? I’m really high and it seems to be little low for my back.

You can not adjust the leg height. I am 5'10 and didn't not find any problem getting baby in and out.

I have an oval bassinet mattress with measurements 14x29 that i really want to use in this bassinet. Would it fit the bassinet?

It's really tough to say... this cradle is oval shape, but I don't know if the curvature would be the same as the one you have. The bassinet does come with its own mattress already. For infants, I think the supplied mattress is sufficient. Your baby probably won't fit in this cradle after around 3 months anyway.
