S&B Chili Oil with Crunchy Garlic, 3.88 Fl Ounce

This is a really nice Chili Oil - the garlic is crunchy and there's a lot of garlic in the jar. Flavor is very mild overall, but that allows it to pair well with a lot of different dishes. It makes an excellent addition to crispy rice and our new favorite, chili crisp butter noodles. It's gone up in price in the last few years - I paid $9 for it this time but just a few years ago it was $3 and change! Still better than the others, so we splurged.

This is an addicting chili oil. I put it on more than just Asian dishes. It adds a little heat and the saltiness is perfection. It's truly delicious and it's too bad it doesn't come in a bigger bottle.

Come on why does this not have the 5 stars it deserves? I can only imagine it’s the cost or like me you guys get the occasional chili oil in your fridge because you didn’t tighten the jar enough. Though it leaks much less than other jars because it gives less oil and more crunch. I love this on everything but not my ramen as I feel it gets watered down. It is not spicy but just adds a wonderful flavor to anything you can dream to put it on.

I'm not writing this review for you because presumably you're sensible enough to know exactly how good this stuff is, and what it can be used for, and I can't offer you any knowledge you don't already have. Maybe you don't know, though, and that's okay. If you want to stick around be my guest.) Okay. Look. I know the concept of 'someone fried a lot of garlic and some kind of chili?! and then put it in OIL?! that they expect me to EAT?!?!' is frightening to some of us. The concept of a topping that isn't for ice cream or the world's mildest tacos is alien. Just take my hand. Go with me on this journey. First, let me assure you, this? This is the baby stuff. It's mild, says so right there. Barely hot enough to make you feel like you're about to step into the confession booth after a saturday night bachelor party. Tepid, at best. Regular old black pepper would be right at home. It's a good burn, and a flavorful one. Second. Garlic! Come on we all love garlic. I suppose there's people allergic to garlic or who don't like garlic but I would hope that they realize this ain't about them. And there's almonds! We like almonds. They're good for- I don't know. Probably by now we've changed our minds about what they're good for but they're delicious in this crisp. It's not hard to use it, I promise. You open the jar. you give it a mix. You spoon it on top of anything- you got noodles? Put it on noodles. You got rice? Put it on rice. You got a turkey sandwich? Put some crisp on that bayyyybeeee! Add it to tacos! Add it to nachos! If you dream it you can try crisp on it! (please note I make no promises about icy or sweet dishes, but shine on you crazy diamonds.) You don't need a ton of it. The oil is salty and meaty and full of all those good round flavors. The crispy bits are divine and add just the right amount of texture. It's scary, isn't it, trying new things? Especially new things that aren't layered in casseroles or boiled to death. But I promise you, once you give it a shot, your food horizons will go so far you might even be able to imagine seeing an ocean. Buy the chili crisp. It'll change ya.

I was never into the chili oil craze, but my brother put me on this and wow, the garlic REALLY adds a punch of flavor. It’s not terribly spicy, but super flavorful. I’ve tried it on Spanish rice, Russian pelmeni, Mexican corn, and any other dish that I thought might use a little extra kick.

It had texture and taste but I found it to be extremely oily and sometimes taste stale.

My family has bought this so many times now. It tastes so delicious! We have been obsessed with putting this on boiled eggs. We have been having an amazing time using it for our egg and pickle flights. Overall though this is so yummy on so many things! It’s not spicy at all and has not leaked once which is great.
