I really don't want to use barbies just yet with this house. What dolls do you recommend?

My grand daughter uses little critters and all kinds of animal families. She has played with it every day for 3 years and has not used Barbie's yet, she prefers animals.

Can you tell me the dimensions of the package? Because i am carryng it on a plane. Thanks romina

The package is as tall as what the height of the doll house is. The depth is possibly 3-4 inches and the width is possibly several inches wider than the width of the doll house. It is large and heavy. This is to the best of my recollection. Good luck.

How long does it take to put together?

Yes it did take a long time - 4 hrs. The instructions are not very clear at all.

Help! I'm torn between this and the Loving Family Dream Dollhouse for my 2 1/2 year-old. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would definitely get the Kidkraft! The only issue that I would caution you about is the size if this dollhouse. It it close to 4 feet tall. I bought it for my granddaughter at the same age as your daughter. She loved it, but, she also wanted to climb on it. You will have to purchase dolls separately but they are really affordable.
