This journal was written by one of the monks of Tibhirine, a Trappist monastery in Algeria. He, along with six others of his community, were taken hostage and beheaded. This journal shows the power of unconditional love. Its author struggled just like all of us, but he kept returning to love, both of God and neighbor. This book is very much needed in this time when we so often ostracize those we don't understand. It holds out hope in the most trying of circumstances.
