I will NEVER use any other flat iron than Hair Art!
So, being as lazy as I am, flat ironing my hair used to be just an annoying chore. My old flat iron either burned my hair because it was too hot, or just made it frizzy by not being hot enough. Since I have Ethnic hair, going without flattening it for too long will make me look like someone rubbed a balloon across my scalp. So I had to deal with burning my hair for months before I found this flat iron. Ladies and gents. This will be the ONLY flat iron you will ever need in your life. I wish I were exaggerating, but I would buy this for everyone in the world if I could. PROS: 1. It literally glides across your hair. You don't need to grip the iron tightly or tug. 2. It gets VERY hot, but I doubt anyone would ever need for it to be on max. My hair is practically an afro after a shampoo, and the iron flattens my hair to near silk at usually only 350 degrees. 3. It works on any hair type! I have relaxed and colored Ethnic hair. My mom has a mix of Ethnic and Native American hair. I've used this iron on her hair, as well as my friends who vary from Caucasian hair to natural Ethnic hair. Just change the heat settings accordingly, it it works like a charm. 4. The price is a bargain. I've gone through 4 or 5 irons in the past 3 years. Considering I paid between $15-$30 for each, I wasted so much money. Ladies and gents, I know times are tough and money can be hard to come by, but if you're in the need for a new iron, don't settle for a cheapo one from the local drug store. Save up a bit of extra cash and invest in a high quality iron that will last you! 5. It replaces a regular curling iron and is very versatile. My hair never took to curls well. They would last maybe a few hours then get really limp. This iron alone can give you a numerous amounts of salon-quality hairstyles with a bit of practice. It curls VERY well, and the curls lasted me for a week before I shampooed my hair again. They did fall limp after the third day, but with some hair spray, I'm sure they would last much longer. Also is really good for feathering your hair. My mom wraps her hair into a "beehive" style before bed, so she curls her hair with this iron and it helps with wrapping her hair before bed (if any of you wrap your hair at night, this is a plus!). 6. The size of the iron is very ideal. I have very tiny hands (I actually have to wear children sized jewelry). In the picture, the iron looks really long and bulky, but the iron is made out of some kind of material that won't make the iron slip from your hands easily. And even though it's one of the smaller sizes of the H3000 series, it shouldn't take very long to iron unless you have absurdly long hair~ I would personally love to own a larger size iron, but this one is perfect. CONS: 1. I'm not sure if my auto-turn off feature works. I left my iron on the bathroom counter when I had to go take care of a small emergency with my dog. When I came back almost 30min later, it was still ON. Nothing on the counter was burned since I had a pad underneath it, but it may be something worth looking at (I may just be the only one with this problem). 2. The smell of the iron was...odd. It's not really a huge issue, it's just that when I unpacked the iron, it had a very strange "old" smell to it. Like it had been sitting in a musty, moldy garage for some time. I just wiped off the iron and the smell gradually went away, but it was just weird at first. Anywho~ That's all I have to say about this iron! I highly recommend this to anyone in dire need of a new one. Also, there are several women on YouTube who make regular hair tutorials using the HairArt H3000. That's actually how I found this one. Give them a look! You have to see it to believe it~

Great Straightener
I received this nearly a week and a half ago, but I didn't want to review it until I'd tried it more than once to see if it wasn't a fluke. It's a really great straightener on my natural African American hair (I'm not mixed with anything--noticed a lot of positive reviews from mixed girls). Also, my hair always frizzes when I'm out, but after using this straightener, it doesn't as much. I realized that it depends on the products I use as I'm using the straightener. If I use my Pantene shine with argon oil--and a heat protectant, of course--it doesn't frizz, but if I use just the heat protectant and put a shine product on my hair after I straighten it then it does kind of frizz by the end of the day. I'd also like to point out that when using hair products while I'm straightening my hair, the product doesn't make the gold plate come off! My last straightener sizzled and fried like crazy to the point that the gold plates came off the second time of use but this one didn't. And the residue of product use doesn't stick to it, so once it's cooled off, just wipe it off and the sides, really easy to get off. The best thing I love about this straightener is that when you're using it and place your hands on the top where the gold plates are positioned underneath it doesn't burn! Even on the highest setting, it just felt warm. Didn't burn at all. I'm really pleased with this straightener. It was a nice purchase.

Awesome and doesn’t pull my hair when used.
I’m on my 3rd Hairart straight iron. No fault of the iron. I’m clumsy and have broken them over the years. They still work, but I’m being on the safe side. These are great if you don’t like to have your hair pulled. I’m very tinder headed and have tried many straight irons. The brand is the best for me.

Durable and work great!
The first time I bought a HairArt straightener was in college from a local salon, it cost double what I pay on Amazon. It lasted me 10yrs. I have purchased 3 from Amazon, this being my 3rd one, the first one suffered a lot of falls and small pieces broke but it kept going. I am in my mid 40s, so that pretty much tells u the durability of this straightener. It has a high heat and leaves my hair so silky and straight. I absolutely love it.

Terrible quality
I normally love this brand flat iron because it heats quickly, minimizes heat damage to curl pattern with ceramic plates and has a beautiful weight for silk results but this is the second one I’ve bought within one year! Usually this lasts me two years but both flat irons from the same vendor have gone out. The first in less than a year and the current iron in less than two months. I thought it was because I was wrapping up my cord on the previous iron but I haven’t wrapped my current iron AT ALL and it has been exuding the exact same shortage issues as the last iron. I haven’t dropped them, I couldn’t imagine the issue so soon into a purchase and I wasn’t questioning the quality of the vendor until now! I’m an almost 10 year licensed stylists and have been using thing brand the entire time! I’ve never had this issue until the two irons I’ve had and I refuse to continue to purchase the same iron and risk this issue again! Luckily I have multiple irons but not with the same shape and I’m upset because I use these specifically for straightening and feathering.

Very nice to grip, straightens and flips well, makes hair super shiny. Heats up very quickly. This is my second HairArt 3000! I purchased the first one about 8 years ago on a recommendation from my hairstylist who exclusively uses Hair Art Irons. It’s amazing! I have wavy, medium length, fine, thin hair and this tool does a great job keeping the wave out for the whole day with a nice shine. Con: The last HairArt I had overheated and literally melted my hair, but I’m not holding a grudge because it’s such a good product! I will be sure to watch it around the 5 year mark for signs of overheating. Also, the original iron had a black felt pocket for storage and unfortunately, this new one does not. Edit 2025: this one lasted 9 years! I bought an expensive iron to replace and it was junk compared to the Hair Art! I’m buying this again. Maybe I should buy two in case they discontinue this product! It’s so good!

I have extremely thick, curly, frizzy, Italian girl hair. You know, the type that you takes a long time to blow dry, spend time straightening, and the minute you walk outside, poofs out, lol. For years I have looked for products that would keep my hair sleek and straight. I have spent a fortune in this quest. After yet another disappointment back around 2005, with a CHI straightener, a hiar dresser introdcued me to this iron that he used is his own salon. I was skeptiacal, but once used it - sold! Not only did this heat quickly and evenly, but it straightens my hair beautifully and quickly! I only have to go over each piece ONLY ONCE, and my hair remains shiny AND doesn't poof out when I go outside! In addition, these irons last forever. I bought my second one in 2013, not because my first one didin't work, I just felt like 7 years was a long time to have an iron. I gave the old iron to a friend, and she said it was awesome. I now, juts bought another (and my old one from 2013 still works like a charm), more because I am afraid that if they stop making this iron, I won't have a replacement. Silly, I now, but it is THAT good.

Ya tuve una así, funciona excelente y dura bastante. El cable tiene movimiento hacia todos lados y no se enreda. El control de temperatura es muy preciso

Excellent straightener! Does such a great job. I started getting compliments on my hair as soon as I started using it! I have thick hair and this has been the best straightener I owned. I purchased it to replace the exact same one that I had for about 8-10 years.
