    A good value.

It took a little getting used to but I did several joints and inside corners. Some folks have purchased the corner tool, but I tried it without. I just pulled the tape from top to bottom, cut it and went back to tuck it into position. Then, I gently went over it with a corner trowel a few times holding the tape in place above my knife (keeping it from sliding down), and being a little more firm with each pass. Worked great.Note: you’ll want to make sure you keep your mud thin and keep loading it frequently. It’s no fun to run it out of mud in the middle of a joint, especially on a ceiling. I’m a small town contractor and get a good amount of drywall work. This tool was a time saver for sure! You won’t regret it. Just be patient, work through the learning curve, keep your mud thin and make sure you’re refilling it often. Good luck!

    Very nice tool

I have been hanging and taping drywall for 30 yrs and have always pre mudded then taped. I purchased this tool after reading the reviews and watching the video figuring that it may be worth a look and perhaps change the way I tape. We'll it has changed the way I tape. I have ran 2000 feet of tape through the unit on a large job and never got a single air pocket and it cut my tape time in more than half. So what are some things I have learned, you need to thin the mud to a consistency of thick pancake batter or it will be difficult to pull the tape. If the mud is to thin it just makes a mess. This only took a few try's to get it right. Try to keep the rollers against the wall, even in the corners, it really helps pull easier. Keep tension on the tape when you cut it or it will tear inside the unit which will require that you take of the cover off and re thread the tape, no buggy, just messy. If you find it difficult to maneuver and pull the tape, just don't load the hopper full. This unit is awesome on butt joints as well as corners and angles. I feel no need to get the coner attachment as it does a great job as is. The only question is how long it will last being plastic. Everything feels well made and the only spot that may be an issue is the throat adjusting knob, however I found that once set I never moved it. Time will tell the durability. So far I am very pleased with this purchase. It came in a timely manor and in perfect condition from amazon.

This product has been a huge time saver! My brother and I are remodeling a house I bought, and we are on a time crunch. This device has been great for us. It works pretty well, but it takes some getting used to. Be sure to take some time when you first get it to practice on a few places that won't be very visible. Here are some complaints, Pros, and Comments if you are considering buying this.Complaints:-The wheel that the tape sits on is pretty stiff (at least mine is) and it forces you to pull harder to get the tape out, which also forces more mud to be on the tape. It doesn't make this item suck, but it's a minor complaint.-It's kinda hard to clean out. There are some really tight corners throughout the design of this tool that takes some time to clean when you're done using it.Pros:-SAVES A TON OF TIME! This tool literally takes the job of taping seams and cuts the time in half. Keep in mind, we aren't pros at finishing drywall, so it probably wouldn't save an expert as much time (if any, since some of those people are insanely fast). I accidentally bought two of these (don't ask how), but I'm actually thinking about keeping the second one, just in case.-Saving time = Saving money. I'm sure this tool has already paid for itself. So, yeah. Nough said about that.Comments:-This tool is very heavy if you are holding it over your head and taping ceiling joints for a while. Be sure to not hurt your back while running this thing.-Play with the mixture of your mud if you are getting too much or not enough mud coming out. It took us some time to get a good thickness.-It's hard to rip the take correctly, without it ripping too far back, forcing you to take the side off to fix it each time. Just be sure to practice this when your first get it, or use your mud knife to score it before you tear it.-I have not tried the corner attachment for it, but would like to. I have a corner mud knife that makes corners pretty quick, so I'm not too quick to try it on this yet.Conclusion. If you're doing a lot of drywall (or plan on it), get it. It's worth figuring it out and getting good at. I don't want to become an drywall finishing expert, so this tool makes the average DIYer a lot quicker.#worth#justdoit
