From the Manufacturer The 3-Inch moulding head accepts all of our 2-Inch and 3-Inch HSS cutters and works on shapers of 3 Horsepower and above. The 3-Inch moulding head requires a 1-Inch spindle at least 4-Inch tall.

Review: 5/16" knives don't fit - I gave this a 3 because while the moulder head is fine, it's a freaking 1" bore, but only made to hold 1/4" steel. I have 3" knives that are 5/16" M2 steel and they won't fit. I took the shims that hold the blades over to the belt sander and sanded away 1/16". A poor solution, I guess, but 5/16" steel is pretty standard. So now I have a working head.

I gave this a 3 because while the moulder head is fine, it's a freaking 1" bore, but only made to hold 1/4" steel. I have 3" knives that are 5/16" M2 steel and they won't fit. Does not fit 5/16" thick cutters! Only made from aluminum. Had to return it
