Valterra-T1003VPM Bladex 3-Inch Waste Valve Body with Metal Handle, Mess-Free Waste
Great quality, easy to install, works great... I love the metal handle! I lubricated the handle and seals with silicone before installing to keep it from sticking and making it easy to use. A reviewer that I am so thankful for recommended leaving the valve open over a bucket over night to let all the "stuff" drain out and save you the mess of working in the "stuff". This was great advice and appreciate that so much! Some reviewers complained that you could see light through the valve without the seals in place, but this is by design and seals perfectly when the seals are installed.

Works smoother than butter
The part fit perfectly. I didn’t realize how much I needed to replace our valve bodies. They were leaking and were hard to open and close. The new ones operate so much better that I thought there was something wrong. The change was just really needed:)

Decent replacement.
I love that the RV industry standardized waste valves. .....I think. This fit great on my 1988 Falcon 190 for both waste water outlets. Simple to install and hopefully reliable. I love the pot metal handles (or whatever they are). The only thing I hate so far is the ABS guillotine, which is formed into a very sharp blade for sliding closed between the rubbers. It should not be sharp enough to cut a fool. It is ABS, or crying out loud. That thin, sharp edge was folded in a few places on both units. Would it kill their bottom line to make a plastic guillotine with a slightly rounded blade edge?

Easy install
Easy installation. Old one was leaking. Works well no sticking on the slide action.

Factory part that's top quality and last forever!
An easy install and it's a very good and top quality factory part that really seals the tanks from leaking. The price, quality and speed that I received it was very fast and awesome. It's worth every penny. This will probably last a lifetime and the only thing you might need to replace years down the road is the seals!

20 minute install
Delivered in two days, well packaged. All you need is two 7/16 open end wrenchs and 20 minutes of your time and your back in business. Kit comes with two 3" seals, four 7/16 bolts and the waste valve body. Perfect fit, very easy to install. I simply removed the existing 4 bolts, pulled the wast valve out finally removed the old gasket seals. I did take the time to clean the surfaces, then reinstalled the seals, pushed the valve body back into place, finally installed the replacment bolts then tightend them up. To be on the safe side I did close the valve and run water into the tank to make sure I had no leaks. I Highly recomend this fix rather than replacing the entire gate valve system.

Very pleased with the product and the value.
Bought this to replace an existing valve on my travel trailer. Perfect fit and operates smoothly. You have to take care installing the 2 rubber seals and I recommend coating with a plumbers grease first. Also apply some penetrating oil to the bolts. Installation is straight forward but make sure that the rubber seals stay in place. I found this easier to do after disconnecting the retaining/stabilizing bracket that holds the waste pipe to the trailer, allowing a little more separation of the pipes to insert the valve. Don't forget to use appropriate gloves and recommend you flush out the tank before working on this. Also helps to leave the cap off overnight and let the inside of the pipe dry out. After completion, run water through the tank and check for leaks on the valve. Now I can just replace the valve handle next time I break one off!!

Great Product, Should Be As Reliable As The Original
Looks good, like original, smooth action. The fun part was installing it, due to the trailer, not the product. They must have built the tanks, etc. around the valves. First, had to open up the coroplast bottom. Then pull the 2 valves, with piping, out. One valve reinstall was no problem, plenty of play in the system. The second was so tight I could not get it in. I had to use two opposite spaced bolts and nuts to pry the flanges apart, without breaking anything. Then when I tried to get the valve and seals in, the seals would not go in without buckling. A piece of folded wax paper was used to hold the seals in place. Push in carefully, pull the wax paper out, release the nuts and keep rotating the valve to make sure the seals were in place. Finally, temporary bolts released, bolts installed properly and nuts tightened. Leak test, all is good. What should have ben a 30 minute job was a 2 hour job due to the trailer design.
