Do not buy if using in saltwater. JUNK!
I bought three reels in 3000 and 5000. Saltwater is very tough on equipment and I did not want to spend much. After one month use and a deep fresh water rinse each time, one fell apart and two are fused in handle and reel core. What a waste. They are disposable.

As the review title reads, buyer beware. Overall it is typical Chinese fishing reel that works for summer beach trips or light use.

Casting and retrieve
Read reviews on this reel a lot of negative but I loaded it with 15lb braid and it works as good as my Penn. Very smooth drag works exactly as it should. Put it on a med heavy ugl stick so for less than $100 great combo.

Very happy is smooth. Have the 6000, and 5000 series with 20 pound mono. Both hold up and are smooth reeling….

good looking and smooth... but less than stellar quality
used a dozen times bridge and surf fishing. always fresh water rinsed, hearing and spoil ruin smooth.... no complaints there. but crank handle actually cracked in half at the folding joint this weekend. .. making for a less than fun fishing day ... never overloaded or gorilla cranked on it, cracked while retrieving 2oz pyramid and bottom rig in light surf...
