after several days forced to go from metal water bottles to plastic/clear as per new work rules i decided to try this bottle out in the hope that it would keep my water cold longer. its clear enough to pass the “transparent” rules *shrugs*. first test showed that ice filled to the top and then water filled in around it lasted almost exactly 3 and 1/2 hours with the water itself staying tolerably cold for around 30 minutes to 1 hour afterwards depending on ambient temperature. the plain plastic bottles used before this kept ice for only 1 hour with the water only staying cold for around 2. this more than doubles the amount of time the water stays cold. i plan to get a sleeve for the bottle to further improve the amount of time the water is cold as well as to reduce the bottles condensation, which is probably the worst ive ever seen in a water bottle though it makes complete sense. expect your drink to be cold longer and the bottle to sweat like a whore in church.

Good cup over all but a bit fragile. Cracked when my cat knocked it off a low counter. Leaked often.

These are awful for our use. They sweat profusely when thawing out. They are slick and hard to hold. Opening the straw top is extremely difficult because the silicone just bends. We purchased 2 of them and couldn’t even use them once because they just weren’t functional. I was disappointed because the concept is great. I would have just purchased a water bottle cover to deal with the condensation if it wasn’t for the impossible straw top opening. They may work to freeze and use in the cooler to keep things a bit cool or something. They are nice looking. They just are not functional

When you put water in it, it freezes in the straw so you can’t suck it up. Even even after the straw melts it doesn’t work correctly. It’s not for me. It is pretty.

Product lives up to being freezable. I purchased this for my granddaughter to bring to the pool and on very hot days her water stays cold all day. She likes how the design looks "crinkly" 😀

We like this water bottle. It’s a great size, easy to carry and very durable. Haven’t had an issue with leaking, great value!

OK I have thoughts about this bottle. I love my water ice-cold. I usually buy another brand of plastic water bottles that can be half-filled and frozen, but they often fail over time and crack. I was looking for a good alternative that would keep my water REALLY cold, but this isn't it. First off, it's noisy and embarrassing! There's a little white stopper/valve that can be removed, and that cuts down on the noise, but not much. Literally the whole room can hear you sucking on this thing. The other thing is that it doesn't keep water ice cold. I followed the directions and froze the empty bottle for 4 hours or less, then added ice and water. By the end of the day, 4 hours later, the ice is melted and the water's not particularly cold. I won't be buying a supply of these to replace my plastic bottles unfortunately. And putting it in the freezer for 3-4 hours then filling it I a bit of a chore. So overall, my review is meh.

Despite the negative reviews, I decided to give this product a chance and bought it. Like many of the negative reviews have stated: 1.) It's hard to drink through the straw. It's almost like there's a hole, and you barely get anything to come up through the straw. When you try to drink, this causes a loud, whistling or gurgling noise. 2.) The straw also is short and leaves a gap where you'll have to remove the lid to drink what's left. 3.) It doesn't stay cold. Even if the bottle is frozen, the liquid inside somehow doesn't stay cold for very long Stay away from this product. For the same price or even cheaper, you can find a freezer bottle that works much better and actually allows you to drink through the straw. The only positive I can think of is it looks pretty and you can clip the handle onto a bag strap.

We bought this to keep water cold like an insulated bottle, but for our child to still be able to see how much had been drunk for the day. When frozen, the gel is no longer translucent so can't see the contents. However, it doesn't stay frozen anywhere near the quoted time. The gel didn't take long to shrink down either, so the top part of the bottle has none, and there are gaps around the bottle in different spots too. The mouthpiece and straw aren't replaceable. It isn't easy to clean between the outer mouthpiece and where the straw connects inside. The mouthpiece quickly stopped closing down flat properly, so it now leaks if it isn't standing up straight. All in all, a completely disappointing purchase, especially given the price tag and big promises of this bottle. Just don't do it.
