IT IS FASCINATING. THE PHOTOGRAPHY IS SO BEAUTIFUL. KARLA & PAULA CAPTURED EACH PIECE OF JEWELRY IN ALL IT'S SPLENDOR. THEIR BOOK HAS PAGE AFTER PAGE OF BRIGHT COLORFUL PHOTOS WITH PRETTY MODELS WEARING JEWELRY THERE ARE SO MANY GORGEOUS JULIANA D & E PIECES & SOME NEW ONES THAT ARE NOT IN ANY OTHER BOOKS TOO. I WAS THRILLED TO SEE 3 PIECES THAT I OWN IN THE BOOK. AFTER I FINISHED LOOKING THROUGH THE BOOK OVER & OVER SEVERAL TIMES I HAD A HUNGER FOR MORE PIECES & BOUGHT SOME FROM KARLA. 2 OF THEM ARE IN THE BOOK. BE WISE & DO NOT BUY IN EBAY OR ETSY UNTIL YOU ASK THE SELLER TO VERIFY WHERE THEY FOUND THE PIECE THEY CLAIM IS JULIANA D & E. ASK THEM 3 THINGS WHERE THEY GOT VERIFICATION: 1. ON WHAT PAGE? 2. IN WHAT BOOK? 3. WHO WROTE THE BOOK?. IF THEY CANNOT TELL YOU THEN THEY DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE OR NOT BEING HONEST. This book is a must for any DeLizza & Elster/Juliana collector! Packed full of delightful photos that are clear and many, many show the backs of the pieces. The jewelry models are lovely and complement the jewelry perfectly, as well as adding much needed perspective on actual size.There is a beautiful dedication for Mr. & Mrs. DeLizza, to whom we owe so much appreciation for their kindness in sharing their knowledge and expertise.The book contains an eye opening display of 1970's and 1980's pieces that I never would have thought were D&E, which opens up a whole new arena for collecting. The themed jewelry and figurals photos alone are worth the price of admission.I am very pleased with the quality of the book itself, the reasonable price and the quantity of information it's covers hold. I would highly recommend!

This is an excellent book to have in conjunction with the other two published books on Juliana jewelry. Its value lies in identifying the jewelry of DeLizza and Elster as the company followed jewelry trends in the 1970's and 1980's in order to stay in business. The photographs could be clearer, but still the items were easy to recognize and helpful in identifying pieces that one would not think to have been produced by the company. The book also contains photos of styles from the 1950's and 1960's, but those have been well documented before. The book makes a great companion to the other two Juliana jewelry books by Ann Pitman and Katerina Musetti.

Don't know if a piece you've obtained or are thinking of buying is genuine D&E Juliana? Then this is the reference book for you. I've been collecting and selling vintage jewelry for over 20 years, and I had no idea that D&E created these styles of Juliana jewelry in the 70s and 80s! Yes, the photos aren't the best and the paper is not glossy like the other reference books. But they've captured all of the designs of this time period and provide excellent descriptions. This book is a must have for any vintage jewelry collector / seller.

Just Okay. The photos are good-but MANY are blurred. And sorry Paula and Karla-having your family members model the jewelry was NOT a good idea! They are too young and the outfits ridiculously inappropriate for THIS jewelry. AND THEY ARE DISTRACTING from the subject matter of the book-JULIANA Jewelry! That said, I appreciate the provenance listed. I appreciate the brightly colored photos. I appreciate the idea of making this book a "workbook" to be written in, etc. I'm sorry to disagree with all the other reviews, but half of my life is spent researching jewelry, and this book is not one of my favorites. Maybe next go around girls.

Great Book with lots of exampels Love it!!!!

I'm an avid Costume/Rhinestone collector by many wonderful and talented makers, designers etc. I have amassed a large collection of books on it's history. I had one of the books on "Juliana" and wanted it's partner; I found it very beautifully photographed, and interesting. My one "con" was that it hilites the very prestigious and exquisite and probably rare pieces.And seeing so much was created by D&E, for themselves and other companies , I would have liked to see more middle of the road pieces.But , all said and done it's worth getting.!

This book has no doubt been complied and written with love and knowledge but it is printed on a non-glossy dull paper that does the pictures of jewellery no favours at all.The authors freely state that it is designed to be written on as a guide but I like my jewellery books to be a better quality than this.It looks to me as though it was printed digitally as well which also lowers the quality of the pictures.I returned it
