Simple connection and easy to program.
I got spoiled having these on a couple of other vehicles before. My 2018 F150 just "needed" these, so I installed it. My visors do not have power present so I put it in the overhead console, since I did not want to cut the headliner or dash. Finding a nearby power source is typically the hardest part of adding an accessory item. I found a wire that is powered while the ignition is on, and for 1 minute after a door is opened. I bridged the power wire to the button light wire, since it's not powered continuously. The button lights are just bright enough to identify the buttons at night without being distracting. The range is somewhat limited due to my mounting location, but I expected that. It still works well and it was worth the price and the effort of installation for me.

Awesome upgrade
I purchased this to replace an older homelink remote in my truck. It came with harness and in line fuse for a new install, which I was impressed with, although I only needed a few inches of the harness past the connector. I didn't use the back illumination wire since it didn't have that connection on my old one, but that is a cool addition if you want to run the wire. This unit was half the size of my old one and worked so much better. I can even use it on my neighborhood gate at our entrance. Every time I use this thing and see how well it works, I feel really happy with making the switch and you will to. The wiring is not complex. Black is ground, red is constant 12 volts, and white is 12v only when your lights are turned on. The white is also optional and doesn't affect the function at all.

Buy it - it works
The first order did not clamp into position properly causing the buttons not to correctly work and to unseat. I replaced the item and it worked perfectly. Install was easy. I tapped into my original Home Link wires. This allowed my new unit to function alongside my old unit. I also decided to strap the unit in place with Velcro to ensure that there would be no unseating during pressing the buttons. Programming was a different story. I had to try a variety of different ways to get it to program with my garage doors and security gate, but I did it. Overall, the product is made on the cheap side, but functions as intended. Definitely worth buying. So much better than having 3 different remotes hanging from the sun visor.

Works great every time.
I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Volt - and that year Chevrolet did not even offer the Homelink GDO in the Volt, so I had to go aftermarket. The first one I received had a problem with one of the buttons, but they quickly sent a replacement that works great. It took me a couple hours to install it, but I had no issues and the color match is perfect. I also wired it so that it only works when the ignition is on so if someone breaks into the car, it won't function.

Unimpressed
I guess this review falls somewhere in the middle. My 2012 Impala had the GM junk Car2You system which wouldn't work when I upgraded to a Chamberlain door opener. The installation went well. Programming was simple. Downside is that I have to be bumper to the garage door for it to work. Even inside the garage, today it took holding the button for a good 10 seconds for it to close. Entirely disappointed with the range. Will be looking for a better system ad this one is super frustrating. The handheld opener, for comparison, works from two houses away.

Does not work.
Had it professionally installed in my 2023 Mercedes at Best Buy by Geek Squad. Was able to program the 3 codes and worked one time. Then the indicator light went out and it quit working. Took it back to BB and they tested it. Install was good and getting power. Product faulty. Return date expired while waiting for installation appointment. Not happy.

Works perfectly - replaced Car2U in my 2011 Yukon XL
Car2U never was an acceptable opener in my 2011 Yukon XL (thanks for the hassle GMC). Finally, with a new Chamberlain opener, I broke down and bought this setup. I removed the old Car2U module and cut the plastic between the buttons (Homelink provides a nice plastic template) with a mototool. I used all three included foam spacers on the backside of the panel and snapped Homelink in place. There is an almost unnoticeable gap on each side where the outside buttons were (maybe 1/32" of an inch). I thought of caulking it, but I never actually notice it and my other drivers don't either. I know Homelink wanted this to be compact, but an eighth inch wider would easily cover it up (or include a wider piece of trim). I did have to cut off existing connectors and redo them (I soldered, but you could use other types of wire connectors). It's only 3 wires - power, ground, and lights). My only remaining wish would be 4 buttons. I have two gates and two doors. So I had to pick (all 4 of them are compatible with Homelink). In any case, I'm so happy to be free of the complete garbage Car2U system, that this deserves 5 stars. And really, it blends right it and works flawlessly. No need to push door opener programming buttons ever. It just clones it all.... Oh - they're making a lot of money on this - that irks me too - but again I am so happy now.

Easy install in the 2016 Chevy Cruze.
Plenty of room behind the overhead console in the Cruze - Found always-on power for the opener, the interior lighting circuit for dash intensity, and a ground screw, so no problems wiring. A little bit of cutting and filing the opening, with two spacers (supplied) - and the transmitter mounted up nicely. Color is slightly off from the lighter interior, but not horrible. Easy to program with the old garage remote, and homelink genie opener. Good project and no more searching for the remote in the console.
