However, the company was very prompt in reaching out to me (they did within a few hours of my review) and making the issue right. I appreciate the company taking the time to do so as many nowadays don't seem to care about customer service. I can say this one does!After having the opportunity to try this product out, I must say that overall I am very pleased with it. I have naturally curly hair but the curls aren't too tight. If you are like me, and are used to using a flat iron, you will notice right away that this product doesn't do the same job a flat iron does. It will not make your hair flat and straight but will actually straighten your hair enough but still leave some body to it, which I am liking. The only thing I wish this brush came with is a heat glove. I have one from my flat iron and I use it every time when I use this brush. My hair is should length and the glove allows me to get the most out of the brush. I now only use my flat iron for my bangs and to do any quick touch ups. But overall I'm satisfied with this purchase.Initial Review:If it was possible to give ZERO stars I would. The product arrived yesterday and I finally pulled it out of the box today excited to give it a try after reading all of the reviews. Plug it in and try to turn it on and it won't even power up. I'm a professional hairstylist and I have been tempted to take it to work with me to style people's hair!I have fine hair that is thick and very wavy, and I can smooth it by splitting it in half after blowdrying and running the brush through both sections the same way you would with a flat iron, and it takes a lot less time than traditional flat ironing. It's also very hot, I use the lowest temp if I have rough blown my hair dry first, if it's second day hair from letting my hair air dry wavy first then I use it at 285 degrees and do four sections instead of two. Just remember that the pad of the brush is hot as well as the individual bristles so a lower temperature will give you the same impact as a higher temp. I have noticed that the smoothness doesn't last the second day the same as a flat iron because it can't smooth the cuticle down the same way, but a "touch up" with the brush is faster and it's definitely a good idea at that point to use the lowest setting and don't run it through a section more than once. Overall I have styled my hair smooth more frequently since I bought this brush and been happier than when I'd spend 45 min styling it with an extra large round brush. I did have breakage from using the 385 degree setting on air dried wavy hair so please be very careful and use a lower setting until you find the temperature that gives you the results you are looking for. The very highest setting would only be for the most course individual hair strands that are very curly. I don't have to section out my (very thick) hair. I literally just brush it.
