Perfect for camping, overlanding, vanlife, and emergency preparedness, it delivers purified water at a fast 4 L/min flow rate without electricity or chemicals. ## Description The LifeSaver Jerrycan is in a world of its own when it comes to portable water purification. Its ability to store 18.5 litres of water from questionable sources and purify up to 20,000 litres in its life-time, make this Jerrycan the perfect companion for Overlanders, those living the 'Van Life', Campers or Preppers. Water is something we take for granted. However there are many times in life we may find ourselves without a trusted source of water. It's in these moments the LifeSaver Jerrycan will be your best friend. Fill your LifeSaver Jerrycan from any fresh water source, from sketchy taps to rivers or lakes. Pump to create air pressure inside the Jerrycan. Simply turn the tap to release a pressurised flow of safe, purified water. Our LifeSaver Jerrycans are now Mil-Spec, having passed the most stringent testing in portable water purification, NSF P248. The NSF Protocol P248 was developed with the U.S. Army Public Health Command (USAPHC) based on the EPA Guide Standard, with the goal of providing deployed military personnel the capability to produce sustainable quantities of safe drinking water in any environment. We achieved compliance after rigorous testing of our Jerrycan product, which tested multiple units beyond 5,000 litres of extreme sustained usage. P248 testing uses two strains of virus to ensure effective removal by the filtration system and pushes filters to the point of clogging to make sure they continue to protect the user after this occurs, effectively measuring the filter’s failsafe technology. Our filters didn’t clog within the testing period and no replacement cartridges were required to finish the test, meaning the filters had to be artificially clogged to test the product’s FailSafe claims. A LifeSaver Jerrycan Shower Head Attachment (sold separately) comes in very handy when you're camping or living off grid for a while. Because the Jerrycan being can be pressurised, it can be used to wash yourself or clean pots. FailSafe technology – Once the filter membranes are blocked, water can not pass through, keeping users safe Contains an Activated Carbon Disc for removal of chlorine, taste and odour (filters up to 500 litres) Removes 99.99% virus, bacteria and protozoa (cysts) Fast flow rate - 4 L/min No measuring, wait times or unpleasant taste like when using chlorine or chlorine dioxide Reduces turbidity of glacial, cloudy or muddy water Robust body for use in the most demanding of environments Manufactured in the UK Product materials and water effluent both BPA and BPS free ## Features - New color! 20, 000 liter ultra filtration water purification system - Only manual system to have ever passed Nsf248 standard-mil-spec - Replaces up to 40, 000 bottles of water - This is the only jerry can sized unit that cleans water to include Virus & bacteria protection - Used worldwide by humanitarian groups and military forces ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B079RS4S42 | | Best Sellers Rank | 200,120 in Sports & Outdoors (See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors) 130 in Camping Water Purifiers | | Brand | LIFESAVER | | Capacity | 18.5 litres | | Container Type | Jerrycan | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (75) 4.5 out of 5 stars | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00700461947202, 00860012109838 | | Included Components | LifeSaver Jerrycan, 1x Activated Carbon Filter, paper manual, plastic flush cap, pump, and tap | | Installation Type | Countertop | | Item Dimensions L X W X H | 35.6L x 17.8W x 50.8H centimetres | | Item Type Name | Water Filter | | Manufacture Year | 2020 | | Manufacturer | Icon LifeSaver Ltd | | Manufacturer Part Number | LFJC20AG | | Material Type | Polyethylene | | Maximum Flow Rate | 4 Litres Per Minute | | Model Name | LFJC20AG | | Model Number | LFJC20AG | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Number Of Packs | 1 | | Other Special Features Of The Product | Military-Grade Water Purification, Failsafe Filter Replacement Indicator, Activated Carbon for Chemical Reduction | | Power Source | Manually Operated | | Purification Method | Activated Carbon, Mechanical Filtration | | Supported Water Tds Level Maximum Ppm | 5000 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Upc | 860012109838 700461947202 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** LIFESAVER - **Capacity:** 18.5 litres - **Included components:** LifeSaver Jerrycan, 1x Activated Carbon Filter, paper manual, plastic flush cap, pump, and tap - **Installation type:** Countertop - **Material:** Polyethylene - **Package information:** Jerrycan - **Power source:** Manually Operated - **Product dimensions:** 35.6L x 17.8W x 50.8H centimetres - **Purification method:** Activated Carbon, Mechanical Filtration ## Images ![LifeSaver® Jerrycan | Water Purifier - up to 20,000 Litres | Camping, Overlanding, Vanlife, Caravanning & Emergency Preparedness (Green) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/711SCgHaJAL.jpg) ![LifeSaver® Jerrycan | Water Purifier - up to 20,000 Litres | Camping, Overlanding, Vanlife, Caravanning & Emergency Preparedness (Green) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Emb121PHL.jpg) ![LifeSaver® Jerrycan | Water Purifier - up to 20,000 Litres | Camping, Overlanding, Vanlife, Caravanning & Emergency Preparedness (Green) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/619ulBptsOL.jpg) ![LifeSaver® Jerrycan | Water Purifier - up to 20,000 Litres | Camping, Overlanding, Vanlife, Caravanning & Emergency Preparedness (Green) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71hk9e5oU8L.jpg) ![LifeSaver® Jerrycan | Water Purifier - up to 20,000 Litres | Camping, Overlanding, Vanlife, Caravanning & Emergency Preparedness (Green) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71qhfvthgSL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Colour Name** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Essential for campervan trips (especially useful for me + my dog!) *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 June 2025* I’ve been using the LifeSaver Jerrycan during campervan adventures, and it’s been a reliable partner for purifying both tap and river water—for me and my dog.Fast, simple setupFill it from a tap or directly from a river, pump to build pressure, then dispense filtered water through the tap. The jet of water is steady and easy to control—crucial when you have a thirsty pup too.Built tough & portableIt holds 18.5 L (that’s almost 5 gal), but still feels manageable for one person thanks to the solid yet light build (about 3.9 kg dry weight) . It’s rugged enough to live in a van for months.Water safety you can trustThis thing filters up to 20,000 L, removing 99.99% of viruses, 99.9999% of bacteria, cysts and even microplastics . I’ve filled it with filtered tap water and murky river water alike, and the output is always clear and safe.Great taste—no chlorine aftertasteComes with an activated carbon disk that handles chemicals and funky tastes for about 500 L . River water tastes surprisingly fresh—even my dog drinks without hesitation. What’s most impressive• Flow rate around 4 L/min—super handy when filling bottles or our travel bowls .• Filter shuts off automatically when it reaches capacity (FailSafe tech), so no guessing when it’s spent .• Safe to use in off-grid or emergency situations; no chemicals or electricity needed.A few things to note• Since it only filters on output, the stored water inside isn’t potable until you pump it out .• You do have to pump each time—handy for water, but if you’re filling up a bucket or shower it’s a mild workout.• It’s a bit tall, which might not fit in all holders—but in a campervan it’s been fine for me.⸻Bottom line:This LifeSaver Jerrycan has been a game-changer for me on the road. No more buying jugs of water or worrying about letting my dog lap questionable tap water. It’s built like a tank, filters almost anything, and tastes great. Pricey, yes—but worth it for peace of mind and hydration freedom. Highly recommended for fellow campervanners and pet owners! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Satisfied customer *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 3 September 2025* Item seems very rugged , very satisfied ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent produit *by on Reviewed in France 21 August 2026* Rien a redire.
