How does this shade roll up?

You just push up on the bottom of the shade and pull it down to make it come down. No cord! :)

What size drill bit? The instructions say 1/16th but that's really tiny given the screw size.

Can’t remember. Try 1/16 and if it’s too small to get the screws in, make the hole larger.

My window measures 48in long, since this comes in 64in do you think it would be too bulky at the top when completely rolled up to let in sunlight?

My windows are 39 in long and I didn’t like the way it looked. My husband was able to shorten them and I love them now!

Can the 23 in shades be reduced down to 17 or 18 inch width? If professional cut...or is the cord in the way?

The smallest width available is 23 inches. We do not recommend cutting the shade it will void the manufacturers warranty.
