Got this dress on Sunday after ordering on Friday evening! I gave it 5 stars because the color is beautiful, the dress is well made and I will keep the dress for my other child. I read the reviews and looked at the sizing reviews and they said the dress fit small. Well I had the opposite problem. My 7 year old is quite skinny. She typically wears a size 5 pant and a size 6 shirt. So I ordered a size 6 dress thinking if it was a bit tight it would not make a difference (thank goodness they did not have a 7 or that is what I would have ordered going by the reviews). When she tried it on it was huge! She could have wore a size 4! I put it on my 5 year old who generally wears a size 7 or 8 and it fit her perfectly!!! Actually looks so beautiful on her! Not too tight, not too loose...just right! Perfect length and all! So I am thinking I am going to keep it for her and order my 7 year old another one in a smaller size and different color!It really is a pretty dress! I often wonder if the people who comment on sizes have children who normally wear clothes that are tight on them or are a thicker sized child (with that said my 5 year old is a thicker sized child and she was able to wear a 6 perfectly). So I would say order true to size or even a size smaller if your child is thin!

I bought a 6 which fit the body, but was too long. She's only five so that makes total sense. I love love this dress. She was called a princess, beautiful, pretty and more! Our daughter was "belle" of the ball! It's well made. I paid another $40 to get it cut bease there are 3 to 4 layers. It's okay because we will get major wear out of this baby at different events. In retrospwct, I could have bought a size smaller, but I'm thrilled with the dress.
