Great color and my hair is getting healthier
My hair is over 95% hard to color gray. The recommended 25-30 minutes has never been enough; I need 45 minutes, even when having it colored by a hairdresser. This is the second Garnier hair color product I’ve tried since starting to do it on my own to save money and hopefully get my hair in better condition, about 5 months ago. Both products gave me a rich looking color and did a good job on the grays and my hair feels a lot better than when I had it done by my hairdresser. The first one I tried was Garnier Olia Oil—my hair was pretty dried out and more oil sounded good. It did a good job with the color, but the bulb-shaped applicator was too large for my hand making application both awkward and messy. It also required a great deal more product on the hardest to color areas around the temples. My hair was definitely getting healthier using this versus having it done at a salon. This Nutrisse version uses a regular bottle-shape for an applicator and comes with the developer already in the bottle. Squeeze out the color crème from a tube and fruit oil from a small plastic pack. The bottle opening is not as large as the one on the Olia, so you have to be more precise when adding in the other ingredients, but this bottle is great deal more narrow and easy to grip for both shaking and application. It truly is a non-drip formula and I didn’t have to put nearly as much product on the temple area to get the color to stick. My hair feels better each time I color; approximately every 3-1/2 weeks if I don’t want to look like a skunk. Okay there is one area that I’d like to see an improvement on and it’s the size of the gloves. My hands are on the short side of medium and the glove’s fingers are almost ½” too short for me. This makes it uncomfortable when first starting out. Not sure if the gloves stretch out or you just forget about it and don’t notice it any longer when concentrating on the applying the color. Of the two Garnier products I have to say I like this one better. And the savings for doing it myself when factoring in the tip is roughly $750.

Turned out darker than expected but covers grays well and lasts well into one month
Thought I would try a different brown shade because I like this brand in general, and this color seems to be its highest rated brown. It turns out very dark at first, but after 1 month, I actually really like what it has washed out to, and I am impressed at the fact that my stubborn grays are still covered

Covers the gray
I have used this color many years without any issues. It holds up the 5 to 6 weeks between colors. Like any color, I get a little fading toward the end of that cycle. I know professionals seem to frown on box colors, but this seems as good to me as what my stylist has used. It certainly is much cheaper to do it myself. It's easy to mix and if your confident can do your roots yourself, then this is a good brand to try initially.

Fantastic hair dye that doesn’t dry out hair
This hair dye is incredible. It took me an hour to dye my blonde hair brown, and it’s been three months and it’s still holding strong. If anything after I dyed my hair brown my hair felt softer and stronger. It didn’t dry my hair out at all. (Because it comes with a moisturizing serum you mix in with the dye). The only problem I have with this is the developer it comes with smells like ammonia, so it really knocked the breath out of me many times. Other than that I will continue to use this hair dye in the future, especially because the price is so damn affordable.

Love the color - didn't cover grays
I recently got 3 strands of gray so I went to dye my hair. I love this color, and my hair felt absolutely soft afterwards, but those 3 gray hairs were still gray and they were the first things covered when I applied the dye, so I won't be using this product again.

Works great for retouching my gray roots and is super easy to use
I’ve been using this for my grey roots for 2 years and love it. It’s so easy to use and as far as dyes go it doesn’t have the worst smell. Pretty gentle on my scalp and doesn’t burn like when you go to the salon many times. I do find I have to leave it on for longer than what it says just to make sure it really takes. Also I tried one of the blond ones of the same color line on my moms roots and that didn’t work as well but this shade does a great job for me.
