Great subwoofer
I have had this sub since March of 2017. I originally put it in a ported box but switched to a sealed box and it sounds much better in my opinion. Hits hard and still can produce loud bass. For the money it is a steal. Running it at 2ohms at 500 watts RMS, and I push it hard. Definitely recommend !

At 30 my sunroof sounds like it is going to break out or shatter
Ok, these things are rediculously loud and hit so frickin hard it is retarded. I have two of them hooked up to a rockford 1200 watt amp. My head unit goes to 40. Well I am scared to turn it up past 30. At 30 my sunroof sounds like it is going to break out or shatter, when the bass hits it literally sounds like someone is hitting my tailgate with a bat. They hit so hard that they popped open the glass hatch on my tailgate the other day. You can feel the air moving by your face. Plus they actually sound good while hitting that hard. I even listen to rock music with them and they still sound really good. I have to turn the volume down a little on the amp when listening to rock music so the bass doesn't over power the rest of the music, but they sound really good. These things are worth every penny and then some.

First off, you must get this sub if you are looking for one that pounds to the point where you have to look back to verify that you don't have several sub woofers. I find myself shaking my head (in a good way) at the quality and the ridiculous "bass" that the P3D4-15 emits. Pros: 1. Hits hard as F*** 2. The quality of the bass is just phenomenal 3. The Plays every frequency from 21 Hz to 200 Hz Clean 4. Hits the lows end frequency like a champ 5. keeps up with the beat of the track 6. Shakes the whole Gas station when I pull up. I only have one of these in my trunk. I am feeding it with 600 + watts RMS. The box has exactly 2.65 cubit ft of air space. It is a ported box by the way. Ported boxes achieve higher SPL and output at lower power levels. For best results get a box built to the specs of the manufacture. This information can be found in your package on online. Just do a Google search. Cons: I have not discovered any yet.

Fosgate P3
This particular subwoofer has performed just as suggested. It is installed in a ported box built to Fosgate specs and hits hard. Pushing it with an Alpine MRP-1000 digital. It is wired in parallel and hooked up at 2 ohms for a true 1000 watts max and it has handled it. Blew one 12" MBQuart PWH-302 two different times and it was rated for 1000w. Maybe they were junk or this one is able to really handle an honest KW. Looks intimidating and moves a lot of air. The only thing that I do not like is how audible the port is. It is 4" in diameter and only 2" from the back of the box on the inside of the enclosure. That, I am sure contributes as well as no insulation inside the box to muffle the rear wave, but it is still really noisy. That is an enclosure issue though. Great sub for the money.

Great sound
Love the sound! Works well with my application. Make sure you get a base control knob if you like a wide variety of music like myself. Be aware that this is a big speaker and it does take up room after putting it in a sealed box

Top notch product. You can't go wrong!
Perfection. This sub is worth every cent and then some. Installed in the right enclosure, and paired with an adequate amp you couldn't ask for more. Rockford Fosgate recommends a 1.58 cubic feet enclosure for a sealed and around 2.66 for ported. Rockville RDP115 Dual 15" Sealed Enclosure 1.58 Cu Ft 3/4" MDF (also sold on amazon) is built to spec if you're looking for sealed. There are several ported options out there. As far as an amplifier goes, I matched 2 of these wired down to 2 ohms each, then hooked them up to a Rockford Fosgate Prime 1,200-Watt Class-D 1-Channel Amplifier amp and these babies pound. I mean chest thumping, license plate rattling bass, and all the while sounding clean and crisp. It's really important to match these subs up with the right enclosure and the right amp, wired in the right way to get the best performance.

Outlasted my SA15...
Had a Sundown sa15, blew it up after a couple months. Then bought a MOFO, and that blew on less than half rated power. Decided to purchase this Rockford P3 15 and wire it at 2 ohms on about 800 rms, and I have no regrets. After months of beating down the block, this sub is broken in nicely and is surprisingly musical, even in a large 34hz tuned vented box. It's not as snappy as an 8, but why would it be? This Rockford slams, delivering excellent spl at high volumes while still sounding terrific on low power. After months of daily 30 minute "go deaf" sessions each way to and from work, it's still going strong and adds exceptional depth to everything i listen to. No, it doesn't hit quite as hard as the sundown sa15 did, but it's pretty damn close and this Rockford hasn't blown up like the sundown did. I'm extremely satisfied.

It's a beast
I love it, really nice looking. Not mentioning that it works really nice with the Dayton spa500 amp connected 4ohm. It gets my glasses in the kitchen at 25% gain only. Is a beast.
