Barbie 2015 Wall Calendar

These calendars are gorgeous! Forget glossy photos of kittens or Scottish castles. Go with something that's artistic, inspiring, and creative! I've bought one of these calendars every year for the past three years, and I just got one for 2015, too. They are full-sized, well-designed, and the artwork is quite lovely.Each month features a different fashion design sketch for Barbie---as drawn by Robert Best, one of Mattel's most famous designers. He's a great artist, too! The sketches are graceful and beautiful. Unless you look really close, the model doesn't look much like a Barbie doll, she resembles a regular fashion model, which is perfectly fine by me. In other words, it doesn't look like a "doll" calendar, so I can indulge my obsession discreetly. The fashions are high-class, very chic. Some are vintage styles, while others are modern. Most are evening gowns, but there are a few elegant daytime styles, too.The great part is, the sketches are so artistic, you can recycle them at the end of the year. Awhile back, I took my old calendars and cut them apart, removing my favorite sketches. I used a paper-cutter to trim them to fit a normal frame, and then I hung several of them on the walls in my sewing room. I only chose sketches whose colors coordinate with my decor, so it looks great! They inspire me to keep sewing! And my students appreciate them, too---I've gotten several compliments.My only complaint is that they occasionally reuse the same fashion sketches from previous years. If it's your first time buying this calendar, you aren't going to know the difference. But if you're like me and buy one every year, it's a little disappointing to see the same sketches used again. This isn't enough of a peeve to downgrade my review, but I did feel it was worth mentioning.In any case, I give this calendar five stars and highly recommend it to budding fashion designers, or anyone who appreciates art, fashion, and/or Barbie dolls. Or someone who just has trouble keeping track of the days.

I found the Barbie 2014 Calendar at Barnes n Nobles in downtown Brooklyn and had fallen in love. So it was only natural that I sought out a 2015 version and was elated that I had! I am heavy into yearly calendars (I have one like at every space I operate in) and it is by far my FAVORITE. I hope they continue on with these Barbie calendars.

My 14 year old daughter loves this calendar. This is the second year she has asked for a Barbie fashion calendar. Very pretty sketches.
