ZAPZYT Acne Wash with Salicylic Acid 6.25 oz

I don’t normally write reviews on Amazon but this product warrants one bc it’s that good! It’s my HG salicylic acid cleanser now! Previously I was using Dermalogica Microfoliant ($60, contains enzymes and salicylic acid) but I experienced far better results from the Zapzyt cleanser than the Dermalogica Microfoliant! I’m sold! Save your money! My skin is clearer, less congested, not dry, not sensitized or red. This is a very gentle gel cleanser that washes off cleanly. I also tried La Roche Posey Deep Cleansing Cream with salicylic acid but it was drying and gave me that weird rubbery feeling afterwards. My skin tends to not like cream cleansers for this reason. The Zapzyt cleanser washes off cleanly and you can tell the difference. This was mentioned in a few of Dr. Dray’s videos and I’m so thankful for her informative videos! I’m so glad I gave this product a try because it works and my skin is completely happy now. Other salicylic acid cleansers I used that were too drying include: Alba Botanica Acnedote Deep Cleansing Face Wash, Neutrogena Acne Cleanser (all colors), Aveeno, Biore, Clean & Clear, and more.

I am lucky and have pretty clear and healthy skin. But I’m also hyper-critical and have never found something to rid my nose of black heads. I use a lot of oils for moisture and they tend to accumulate, adding to the appearance of my blackheads. So I watched a YouTube video and Dr. Gray (I think) recommended this for blackheads. I’ve used it for about two weeks. I have sensitive oily skin. I have been using once or twice daily depending how I feel. My blackheads are pretty much gone or extremely less visible. I also had two clogged pores- I forget what they call them. And the medicine in this product took care of those as well. Incredible product. It is drying to perhaps only use on your nose or T zone to start. But I tone and moisturize following and I’m not itchy and flaky like I have been before with other products.

It definitely takes consistency to see results with this product. I applied this twice a day for 3 or 4 weeks before I saw my skin starting to feel and appear smooth. Unfortunately after week 1 my skin was peeling and it was itchy around my mouth and my side burn area. This was annoying at first but once I exfoliated with a brush, very lightly the smooth skin below was able to show. The smell is quite neutral. Don’t get this in your eyes when you wash your face, it will burn a lot. I love the way it makes my skin feel right after the wash, it seems like my skin glows.

My go-to cleanser. Great for oily skin like mine. Keeps my face in check. I definitely feel the difference when I use another cleanser.

My son is 15 years old. His acne wasn't terrible, but it was at that point of becoming a problem. We tried everything. Everything from over the counter to prescription based epiduo and another retinoid product called differin (now sold OTC). One of my friends mentioned zapzyt on her facebook page, and for such a low price compared to the retinoid products, I thought why not. The box is right. My son had overnight results. Now about a month later, his skin looks amazing. He uses the spot treatment with the zapzyt acne wash daily. You definitely need a moisturizer too because it is very drying. He is so happy that his skin is clear again. I highly recommend this product!

This is by far the best salicylic face wash I have ever used. I have the most sensitive and acne prone skin ever. This has been the only salicylic wash that doesn’t dry out nor irritate my skin. It’s definitely suitable for sensitive skin types. My daughter also started using this product and it works great for both black heads and acne. Will definitely continue purchasing in the future.

If your looking for a bha wash for oily sensitive this is a good choice because oil free and scent free. I use it 2 to 3x a week at night only. Makes my skin super clean and clear. Best investment for oily sensitive rosecea skin. But make sure to slab moisterizer bc it can be super drying. I like to put moisturizer on slightly damp skin to help and then add a little vaseline on the dry areas for extra moisture retaintion. A tip I learned is to leave on for a minute before washing with water so it can do it's magic and get into the pores. Just make sure don't get it around the eyes. It will sting like a mofo. You can definitely see the results of clearer skin almost 30mins after and the next day. Favorate bha wash so far.

I got this cleanser on Dr. Dray's advice. It works fine as an acne wash, but it's more drying than other cleansers with salicylic acid that I was already using. Specifically, Murad's clarifying cleanser is much gentler, despite the fact that it has frangrance. I then gave it to my boyfriend to try and it actually dried out his skin so much that he ended up getting acne from it and had to stop using it. I won't be repurchasing this.

So like many reviewers here I heard about this product through Dr. Gray on YouTube. I had been searching for a salicylic acid face wash for months, tried 3 with OK results. This one really worked! I’d like to preface, to the people commenting it dries out your skin/is too harsh - salicylic acid face washes don’t have to be used DAILY. It’s a CHEMICAL exfoliant, meaning you can use it 2-5 nights a week and it will get the job done while also giving your skin a break in between. Which is exactly what I’ve done. I have an oily t-zone and was breaking out continuously on my forehead, nose and chin. By using this every second night (I use regular Cetaphil in the am to give my skin a break and CeraVe PM as my am/pm moisturizer) my breakouts have reduced DRASTICALLY, not to mention my blackheads are almost all gone/reduced in size. Sorry for the long review, but I hope this helps someone try it out and see the great results I did!

I like this but in Canadian dollars the price is too high. I find there is a smell which is probably the aloe and it does burn a little when applied. You do not need much and it lathers quite well; however, there are cheaper brands available (unfortunately with fragrance) that do the same if not better.

I originally purchased this product based on a recommendation from my favourite dermatologist on YouTube. This product is amazing...it is fragrance free and dispenses in a liquid/gel consistency and foams up a bit when mixed with water. I find the product gentle even though it is 2% salicylic acid. I have struggled with acne for decades this is the most helpful product I have found. Have already repurchased two more!!

This product is excellent. Very little is required to wash your face. It contains minimal but very effective ingredients to combat acne!! I have spent lots of time and money searching for an effective acne cleanser. I love that this is fragrance free and doesn’t contain aggravating ingredients like menthol, lavender, lemon etc. which only make acne worse. I am thrilled I have finally found something which helps my sensitive acne prone skin!! Please keep making!!!
