Gear Head Magic 8-Ball Speakers, USB 2.0, Black with Red Accents (SP2000URED)

Bought these for the office. Not as small as I had imagined. We needed speakers to hear webinars, was not looking for anything high-end, turns out music sounds just fine on them. I only ordered 2 sets because of the price and was worried that they would be junk. That is not the case these are great small speakers that are extremely cheap!! I don't know about movies and loud music since we use them in an office setting they don't get turned up so loud, but they work great for what we needed and the staff loves how they look! We will be purchasing more for the rest of the staff.

I love it, it looks great and has decent sound quality. Only problem is the static I hear when playing Skyrim, causing detriment to the atmosphere of the game.

Please NOTE: these are not USB speakers, these are USB powered speakers so you have to plug them in to a USB for power and an RCA mini-jack (headphone port) for sound.For the money they have great sound and are fairly loud. Way better than more expensive speakers that I bought form a more established company (starts with an L). Highly recommended. BTW they are great for laptops as not having to plug them in to a power outlet is awesome.

The speaker output great stereo sound!! The only issue is that the installation on step 3 should use "+" symbol that you need to connect both the USB port and audio cable to the laptop/ Surface. The output sound is too low from my Microsoft Surface, when I want to listen to the music. By connecting these speakers, it produces stereo sound! =)

My PC's display's speakers were starting to go, and I really needed to find a solution quick. One thing I wanted was to avoid another power supply to plug in, so I opted for finding USB-powered speakers. Somehow these spoke to me, and I took the plunge.Ironically, after receiving these, I noticed the display's speakers were fine, I just have slight interference from my GPU card to the built-in sound. Regardless, I'm still keeping and loving these speakers, because the difference between the monitor's sound and these are like night and day! These speakers are quite impressive; you can easily tell their sound stage is full and deep, and the lower frequencies are produced with no problem whatsoever. They have a great low end for the price. Watching videos, listening to music, and just basic desktop sound effects are all a true pleasure to hear.Am I happy I bought them? You bet! Do I recommend them? Of course! I'm almost a lil' sad I didn't get the set with a lil' subwoofer, hehe, but I love these nontheless.

Cute. But the round shape means they roll, and they roll over quite easily, with one flattened side they're supposed to sit on, whole thing pretty unstable. But the main issue is that only one of the two speakers works, and I've tried them on several devices. Nice quality sound coming out of the one that does work, but not terribly loud. All and all, pretty disappointing, even if they were pretty cheap!

I originally bought a set of these in Big Lots on clearance...$3 bucks. They lasted through FIVE YEARS of constant use by a herd of grandsons and believe me, the speakers were treated like crap. Dropped onto metal, banged hard, frequently knocked off desk, stepped on. The wires didn't break, the speaker guts never got staticky. I used to say they must be made of titanium armor.When one speaker finally died, I bought a clip on; different brand. The grandsons are grown and gone, so it was treated with kid gloves and still lasted only two months.I rebought these identical gearhead. So glad they still make them!

Fairly crappy quality speakers. The plastic rings were all spotted and scratched up out of the box. Not very loud speakers but fairly good quality sound.
