Can be used for nail polish- with reasonable expectations
I think all of us who collect nail polish have the odd bottle (or ten) of polish that's so separated, bringing it back into solution is beyond what shaking by hand can do. Being that pro-shakers are so expensive, I thought perhaps there was another way to save those polishes and came across this. While it's meant for tattoo ink, which is much less viscous, it does actually help bring the polishes into a more uniform color. Now, *before you go mixing up polishes with this*, a few warnings:- You're probably going to need a couple of sticks per bottle in order to fully mix up your polish, depending on the height of the polish bottle in question. These sticks link together easily for this. You may need up to three for some bottles.-This may not mix all of your polishes flawlessly. I've used this on about 12 of my polishes so far, and while some brands mixed up easily and retained their uniformity, others began to re-separate to a minor degree about a day after. It depends on many variables- the formula, the finish, the brand, the age of the polish, where you store your polishes, etc. Also, some hand shaking may be needed to finish the mixing process.-This does introduce some air bubbles to the polish, so don't use this mixer right before you intend to use the polish. Also, this may somewhat thicken the polish afterwards, so add a drop of thinner after you're done to keep the polish consistency. (Never use acetone for this!)Giving this 4 stars because the mixer doesn't feel especially durable, so it might give up the ghost at some point here. Still, I'm happy to have some of my older polishes restored, and so long as it doesn't quit on me too soon here, I'd probably buy another one if I needed it.

It sucks!
It only worked 3 times mixing a watery pigment on a plastic cup and that’s it. After that, when working is running really slow. (Yes, it has new batteries in case you’re wondering)

Same as the rest of them
I feel none of these ink mixers are designed correctly but it seems to be just like every other one I’ve bought

Time saver. Cool little device.
Love this thing. It takes up a small space on my tattoo table and makes it so fast to mix my inks rather than stick stirring.
