1296P 128G Body Camera

first and foremost, I work security so that can be 8-12 hour shifts. I bought this body cam back in 2019 because I had a previous job that used Campro and I loved the quality of the camera video the audio on the video How true to the natural color the video captured How durable it is, it can fall 20 feet and still be fine and yea I tested it out with throwing it and IT STILL WORKS!! The reason I bought it for myself is I was doing armed patrol security in San Francisco 5 days a week 12 hour shifts so yes I was dealing with emergency dispatches of Domestic violence calls Medical calls Theft/robberies/burglary calls Trespassing calls Assault and battery calls We all know how long a DV call can take it can be up to 4 hours. So yes long story short I had to have it on standby throughout a 12 hour shift and holy crap it stayed alive for 16 hour shifts too with recording emergencies. I worked through the heat, the cold, the heavy rain, the fog and it has NO ISSUES! Let’s jump forward to 2025 ok. I still use the same body camera and yes it’s been 6 years and it still works! Durable as hell, color, audio, and quality never changed. It’s still amazing as when I bought it, BUT the battery does run out faster and now instead of leaving it on standby I have to turn it off and then record with emergencies. This body am for the price is a 9.5/10! So yeah I’m going to have to replace it like every other technology out there because over years it will get older like us. I got a new body camera to test out for the battery and got a boblov that says it’s good for 15 hour continuous recording and 4000mah and it’s crap I returned it as fast as I could. It wasn’t durable, the clip for my vest was short, the audio on all the videos were crap like robots were talking, the color was changed a lot so red would look brown, yellow would look white etc. Honestly my top two and only two choices for a body camera is axon and campro.

I was pleased with the many features of this camera. It has huge capacity, 128gb. The battery is a powerful 3500mAh, in some cases twice the size of other body camera batteries. The night vision is superb and clear. The video settings are numerous, and even on a quite low setting to conserve storage space, the video is crystal clear. Audio is very clear and picks up sounds easily. UPDATE - 6-23-2019 - I have used this body camera for almost a month. I cannot get the Cammpro to pick up a GPS signal. My drones instantly pick up 12-17 satellites, my smartphone detects over 14 satellites, the Cammpro will not detect one satellite. I am returning it. I liked everything else about it, but to create a track of my activity I must have solid GPS tracking. The buttons seem to be standard for many brands of body cameras. There is one-touch video, photo and audio. You can take photos in bursts of several numbers. The video can pre-record prior to actually starting the video (because of video buffering) and continue for a set time after you turn the video off. This is a very feature-rich camera. The software was a bit difficult and I was getting frustrated. BUT... customer support pulled through. Three people helped; William, Hannah and Kochi. It ended up that Kochi sent some files to unzip. That was easy. Just download a trial version of WinZip from CNET and you're good to go. He also sent detailed instructions to set up the Body Camera Management System. It should be easier than what it was but in the end, it now works and I am happy with the camera and software.

This camera is built nicely. All of the features are packed into a rugged case that keeps out dust, dirt, and water. So far I haven't had any issues with the body or screen being compromised from outdoor elements. Footage: Video quality is okay, but nothing amazing. At the lowest (1280x720, 30FPS) you get good quality SD footage. However for modern times 720 is pretty low. If you want to bump up to higher resolutions then you'll quickly notice battery drains much faster. The only other thing I've noticed is that fast motion can sometimes cause the video to frame blur/skip frames. The audio is actually pretty decent, though. Recording: The record time is another feature where I have to drop a few stars. On a full charge I'm lucky to get a standby charge of 11 hours. However, I have never yet been able to record for 11 hours in a row as stated by the product description. I'm lucky to record maybe 4-5 hrs in a row regularly, or fi the IR is on, that time drops to about 2.5-4 hrs. I would highly recommend bringing a separate IR flood light and a charging pack to carry with you, otherwise this camera dies out relatively quickly. Easy to use: I still find myself fumbling around for the right buttons, but I suppose that just comes with use. It's a lot harder to engage the power on and record buttons when this is mounted on a chest strap/backpack should strap. As far as transferring footage off the device and onto your PC, I've had tons of issues. I find that if I try to use any GUI to move files the camera will repeatedly disconnect and reconnect from USB. If I just transfer the files in bulk from powershell or a bash emulator then I have no problem. Slightly frustrating but not a deal breaker. The only other thing to be aware of -- this thing is LOUD. Turning it on, shutting it off, and engaging buttons is some of the loudest sounds I've ever heard. I had to tape up the speakers to muffle it a bit. Lowering the volume in the user settings doesn't affect this sound whatsoever. Overall, a good camera, lots of storage, and with the video quality settings turned up relatively nice footage. It's built tough to survive the elements, but the product is marred by battery drain issues.

I LOVE this cam! For the price, it's GREAT! And even I could figure out how to use it! The video tutorial is pretty not fantastic, but the instructions are adequate. But, the important thing is what it does, and what it did! I was having an issue with a person in an authority position at work and she was trying to get me fired. She kept making things up, and she had a little buddy who was right in on it with her. It was 100% personal. There was never a witness around on my part and I was about to lose my job... My supervisor was very supportive of me, but I had no evidence to support my side of what was happening. UNTIL I got this cam! I started wearing it when I had to be on site with these people. Within a couple days they both put on one of their typical displays and showed how they tried to set me up and make up a big drama (which never happened). In fact, their performance was spectacular, and even when I warned them that they were being recorded, they were so caught up in their hatred for me that they literally said they didn't care and proceeded to cuss me out - on camera! I gave the recording to my supervisor and that was the end of that - for them! I LOVE THIS CAM! I now use it as a dash cam because of the LONG battery life and large capacity storage. But I (jokingly) use it to keep my coworkers in line...I tell them "don't make me get my camera!" ha!

The camera is heavy, and the buttons are hard to press. In case of an emergency, one would lose the shot. When I complained to Amazon - they too agreed my camera was defective as it never worked properly. It stopped taking pictures within two months of purchase, I was never able to set the date right as it moved back one hour, the GPS function would disable by itself, and the camera would stop working for days at a time - Amazon offered to take the camera back and give me a discount on another camera. I decided to keep that camera as the discount was not enticing. So, I purchased this camera in March, 2021. Either late December 2021 or early January 2022, the camera stopped recording anything. Through the "questions and answers" I found a contact at Cammpro. I sent an email explaining my problem and got a reply; they agreed to replace my camera. I am from the west coast but am in the east coast for a while. I asked if they could ship the camera to me in my current location. I heard nothing. I sent a second email. I never heard back. I need another body camera but it won't be a Cammpro. Update - May 2022: I was able to reach their customer service and I got a replacement in late February 2022. However, the camera heats up to the point it is uncomfortable to wear it. The original camera would only heat up if the infrared was left on for a while but I don't remember it being unbearable. This replacement one heats up for no reason. Also, I start the day about 8 AM with a full battery and; with no or barely any use, I lose a bar by 1PM. From then on, if I do not recharge, I only have about one hour left, if all that. I am sure I was given a refurbished defective replacement. One curious fact: sometime during the winter, I found myself stuck in a hotel due to a blizzard. When I went to my car to retrieve something, I found the old camera. It was on, I had left it on for three consecutive days and its battery was FULL. I would not purchase this brand again.

I received my camera yesterday, after setting up this camera i have to say very impressive, all the features and clarity of the camera, easy setting it up, immediate playback is a great feature for Law Enforcement and Security personnel, I am a Armed School Security Officer and feel it will be an extra tool in my everyday duties. It will protect from wrongful accusations. I highly recommend this camera.

The video is excellent and the sound is clear. Easy to use although directions aren't real clear. I mainly use the one button video record option. I would turn the camera on at 11:30 PM. (Make sure to have the night vision lights off until you need them. Otherwise, the battery only lasts 3 hours.) I could never get the camera to start recording by pressing the button once like the instructions said. I finally figured out that if the viewing screen was not active you have to press the button TWICE quickly. Once to activate the camera and once to start the recording. Then starts recording immediately. I set mine to add the minute of video that was before I pressed the start button. That way if something happens and it takes you a few seconds to remember to start recording you still got the incident on camera. Great feature. To stop the recoding again press the button twice (if the screen is off.) Only semi-bad thing is the spring on the clip isn't very strong and several times I accidentally knocked the camera off my chest. I finally lost it because it came off without me knowing it and so I don't know where it was lost at. I've ordered another one.

This is quiet possible the single best body camera I've ever had. I've been issued a couple by my department, and they were ok, worked well, but always had an issue of one type or another, and eventually would fail at the worst possible time! This CammPro has been nothing but smooth right out of the box! Easy set up, very easy to review footage while on the go and an awesome amount of storage for an on body camera! Set up and charging is quick and easy, hassle free use, personally if you are looking for a bodycam for yourself, regardless of job or position, Uber, security, delivery or LEO this would be the one I would recommend.
