SUPERNIGHT 5050 RGB LED Strip Lights, 16.4ft, 300 LEDs, DC 12V

When I saw the reviews I thought i had bought some junk that would break in a month but that's not the case at least for now. They don't use 3M adhesive but the adhesive they have seems to hold up, I read reviews on how bad the adhesive is but it it seems like its pretty sticky and the led's haven't fallen off of my desk yet its now been about 24 hours since I put them on and they seem to be sticking very well. The W part of the led's are very bright and they are a cool white and the RGB part of the led's are also bright and very vibrant. I am using them to light up my desk setup and they are working very well. I really do recommend this to anyone that wants a cheap led setup.

Be warned, comes with NO two way stick tape. And is NOT a music controlled device as the picture of the remote shows. Lights are good if you just want lights and without the music function. And of course getting your own two way stick'em.UPDATE-- This company ACTUALLY contacted me on there own regarding the miss understanding of the lights I bought from them. They could have just been a big thoughtless company and not cared about customer service, but, and not sure of there actual company size, but they do care, and it shows. There products have been good in quality, and now I see there customer service is good as well, I will definitely be a return customer. And they just got my star rating upgraded to a well earned 5 star.

I got four of these strips for my school apartment and I love them. the only gripe I have with these strips is that the adheseive is horrible. I read a couple of reviews about the same problem and I chose to ignore it. Don't do that. When I finished setting them up, no less them five minutes half of them peeled off. definitely get another adhesive to make them stick for a good while.Another thing that doesn't really bug me but I feel like I should bring up is that the white balance can be off. As you can see in the photo I attached, some of the white LEDs have a bluish tone to them. None the less I like them hence the reason I purchased four of them, and I'll definitely be buying even more in my near future.

First, the good. The LEDs are bright and stay pretty cool to the touch.And that's about it.The bad? Well, for starters, any normal RGBW strip follows the below pinout:Voltage (5v or 12v)GreenRedBlueWhite (if applicable)My kit does not. Red and green were swapped, so if I hit red on the controller, it activates green and vice versa. I've attached an image of the issue. That being said, immediately out of the box, they do not work correctly. Secondly, the actual white LED (not the RGB combination to create white) has a slight lavender tone to it. The RGB combination to create white is slightly bluish green. If you turn on the white LED along with the RGB combination to create white, you'll have a combination of blue-green and lavender. Nothing remotely resembling white. Lastly, the end connector where you can attach additional strips has the white heat shrink tubing covering the female W connector. I could cut away the excess heatshrink to make it work, but the box clearly says "100% quality assurance" and this is definitely not the case. I'm not even going to bother with a replacement, this one is going straight back.

EDIT: Contacted the seller and after showing them the issue they offered to send me the proper replacement and no need to return the product. The cause of the mixup wasn’t 100% on them in the end I discovered so I understand things happen!Only comes with the strip, but that’s my bad for not reading the description.But the strip I got was completely different from advertised.Had NO 5 pin connectors; one end had an AC female plug and the other had bare positive and negative wires, so I can’t even plug them into my current strips to extend them so they’re just sitting here.There’s no adhesive backing. There is some blue strip which is sticking to the strip itself, but I’ve fussed with it for over 15 minutes and it definitely doesn’t peel off to reveal double sided stick.On top of that, I can tell just by looking at it while powered off that it is NOT an RGBW strip and is just plain RGB. There are only RGB LED nodes and no White LED nodes.Brand and/or seller are definitely inconsistent with their items, I would not buy from them if I were you.

I purchased this product to replace a florescent tube light in a display case, and add multi-color ability as well. Here are some pros/cons for your consideration:Pros- The strip produces a good amount of light, and works generally as expected.- Half the LEDs are multi-color RBG, the other half are white, and you can have both on at the same time.- Adhesive backing has held up (so far)Cons:- One section of light had failed Red LEDs (The very first section between the soldered wiring and the first cut mark)- The existing end connectors are bulky, and do not fit into reasonable sized LED channel for mounting.- They were not wired correctly if you tried to match the wire color to the LED color. The ribbon cable coming off has Red, Blue, Green, White, and Black wires. Black is the power feed, the White was correct, the color LED wires were shuffled.If you're comfortable with a soldering iron, then the price is right for custom LED work. If you're expecting to plug and play, I would not suggest this strip.

These are great lights - please note that this is a light strip only, it does not come with an AC adapter or remote. That being said, I plugged these into an existing system that I have and they worked great. They're robust and work very well - it's fun to see them produce different all of the different colors they're able to make. These are great for use under cabinets or behind TVs, or for shelf or work area lighting. They have many uses and will make a great addition to my space.
