A. simplicifolia syn. A. simplex is a small tree to 30 ft which is native to certain islands in Malesia including New Caledonia and Fiji where it is known as Tatagia. This species is highly prized by collectors and there are very few live plants outside of its native range. It is noted for its unusual leaves or phyllodes which are rather broad with parallel veins along their length. The tree bears small, yellow, powder puff like flowers in abundance. It is reported that some Pacific Islanders eat the young pods after special preparation. This is likely the most rare and highly sought Acacia among collectors worldwide. Individual seeds can sell for as much as $3.00 each!! Aside from the trees attractive appearance it is said to be the richest source of alkaloids of any Acacia. Many Malasion Shamans use this Sacred botanical in their religious and divination ceremonies. This is the species that collectors of ethnobotanicals and entheogens have been clambering for and I'm very pleased to make a limited number available. Don't miss this chance to add this very special plant to your collection! They won't last long. PRIORITY SHIPPING *FULL SATISFACTION GUARANTEE* Not intended for human consumption.
