It's much easier to do a difficult stretch or pose with a little support. With 3 different dimensions it's pretty easy to find the right height. I use them every day. They are foam but a sturdy foam, perfect to add support. These would not be a good block for strength training or a step for cardio. They're not designed for those applications. Buy a good solid step for that. Review: Fantastic Useful Little Blocks - These were fantastic little Yoga blocks that worked great for the weekend CEU course that our company was hosting and now will continued to be utilized well by our students in the future. Overall cleaning these was fantastically easy and they lack the overall β€˜plasticy’ smell. The only caveat and complaint I would say is that the plastic they wrap it in is a bit of a pain to get off.
