Who'd have thunk I'd ever be writing an enthusiastic review about a garbage bag? I have one of those big green bins on rollers that are standard for my Town. They tend to get nasty even when most of my trash is in bags. So during the warm weather in the past, I have spent too much time, scrubbing and hosing them out. Some of my snooty neighbors actually pay a company to clean their trash bins every couple of weeks. Then, Eureka! I decided to give these trashcan liners, a try. They fit perfectly, but because of the design of the lid on my bin. I clip the bag to the rim on two sides to keep it from collapsing. The bag is heavyweight and doesn't tear no matter how much pointy things I put in it. Best of all, these bags have a really pleasant scent that makes my garage smell great every time I open the bin. Yes, this really is a garbage bag that I love and highly recommend!

Finally a liner bag that fits the rolling black and green bins. Most stores carry 55 gal liners as their largest size. These bags are 60–65 gallon.

When buying trash bags to fit any particular container size, you just need to know the size of the container in gallons, buy bags in that gallon size, and the bags will fit the container, right? That would work for ANY container size EXCEPT 64-65 gallons. For some reason, some bags marked “64-65 gallon” are actually too short to be used in 64-65 gallon standard rectangular urban trash containers. The ones that don’t fit are 48 inches wide by 48 inches long. The bags that DO fit are the ones being reviewed here. THESE bags, also marked 64-65 gallon, are 50 inches wide by 60 inches long. So a full foot longer than the other set of bags that supposedly fit a 64-65 gallon trash container but in fact do not. The 48x48 bags can’t be fitted over the lip of the trash container—they are simply not long enough. The first time one throws something into the bag, the bag will pull off the lip of the container. Annoying, at least to me. The 50x60 bags being reviewed here don’t have that issue. Fitted over the lip of the container, they stay that way and are simply easier and less fussy to use. These bags are also tougher than other similar bags we’ve used. And the vendor provides all the information you need to make sure that you aren’t buying 64-65 gallon bags that don’t fit/are too short. Maybe I’ve been living under a rock and am the only person who wasn’t aware of this oddity in how 64-65 bags are sized. But on the chance that I’m not the only one, I thought I’d share this info here.

These are great. They fit our new garbage bins perfectly and keep the inside from getting dirty. They’re thick and excellent quality.

Bought these 64 gallon bags for a 32 gallon trash barrel in which to collect odour-free, pine-chip cat litter at a condo. The owner has mobility issues. They collect litter daily from their two “who’s a goooood boi! YOU are… yes you ARE!” kitty’s and store it in the pantry for a week or so before wheeling the barrel and bag to the trash room on a hand cart — minimal lifting/handling required! From long-time experience, I know a trash barrel liner works best if it’s an oversized bag. After removing the bag from the barrel, they give it a couple of gentle, but vigorous shakes and the contents settle and spread as the plastic bag blooms in size! There’s enough loose plastic remaining at the open mouth to spin the bag like a tornado and seal it by tying an easy knot! The 64 gallon bag material is heavy gauge and the price is better than buying from any local box store. And, as a satisfied long time Amazon Prime subscriber… free 2-day delivery to my front door!
