I cant even begin to get the balloon to inflate despite trying desperateky hard. What am i doibg wrong?

I struggled at first but then I blew it up once with my mouth and after that it was much easier. If it still doesn’t work when you try and blow it up through your nose, you simply aren’t doing it hard enough. One short sharp push should inflate the balloon. It’s a little uncomfortable and the first time I forced myself to do it, I’m not going to lie, it hurt, but after that I had no ear pain and could easily decompress by exhaling through my nose and swallowing at the same time

Where can I get replacement spare balloons?

Hi. I couldn’t find any , so bought another kit But , if you watch the how to use videos on you tube , I am not sure why good quality balloons would not work anyhow with the nose piece.

When do you use this? In flight or prior to flying or prior to decent?

Hi there, you can use Otovent Fly both pre, mid and post flight. It may be advisable to use the device pre flight in anticipation of the change in pressure. If you find that you're still experiencing discomfort as the pressure changes mid flight, you can then use the device to relieve this symptoms. In some instances, the pressure does not resolve itself post flight, and Otovent Fly can be used to open the eustachian tube and relieve the discomfort. Thanks.

Has anyone found this makes it worse at first? Sometimes I can't keep the balloon inflated and the air seems to go back into my ears.

Hi. I’m going by memory of what the instructions say but I think once you’ve inflated the balloon you’re supposed to take it away from your nose and not let the air go back into your ears. I suppose you can then re-inflate the balloon if your ears still don’t feel right? There may be a YouTube video demonstrating how to use it?
