Lousy instructions and never worked.
I could not get my computer to find my monitor using this converter. I tried to follow the trouble shooting instructions, but the first problem is instructions keep referring to an on and off switch and there is none. Supposedly there is a light to indicate it is on but if there is it never came on. Third, it keeps referring to dc power source, but it is not, it is just a usb cable. Therefore I plugged the USB cable directly into a usb/dc plug into the wall and it still did not appear to be powered. I did plug in the vga end and the hdmi (to two different ones) on my computer. Too late to send back but that is my fault.

Does NOT work on POST, only once OS is loaded
I bought it hoping to use it on my servers because all they have is VGA and would be nice to prep them in my office where I have HDMI TV/Monitors... Hooked it up and nothing, tried different servers, tried different monitors/tv's, nothing. Finally once I had OS loaded it showed a picture. I need it to work so I can change BIOS settings and to boot into OS installers not after OS is installed.

Don't buy.
Just doesn't work. Checked the HDMI, VGA, and mini connectors on other equipment and they all worked just fine.Do not recommend buying this, it is a waste of money.
