Not a good product
I got this to replace a rig I had made myself. Went to Greece and used this for about a day and then just carried camera. The screw constantly unscrews from the camera. I was more afraid of camera falling off then I was of taking photos. In my opinion this is a bad product. Will not stay secure on the camera or case if you have that.

Broke right off, disappointing
Used for about 1 week normal use nothing crazy at all and the product sheared off in the bottom of my Camera very frustrating to get it out as well as nerve racking drilling into the bottom of a camera

Likely will break
Okay, not greatest design. The twisting collar comes up as far as shown in the picture which doesn't completely cover the thin hook on the other side. What this means is that there will be greater torque (force) on the already weak, thin hook if the camera ever hits the twisting collar. If camera is seated correctly, this product is probably capable of holding many many lbs. But things happen in the field and you're not going to gently lower your camera into position every time. That was how I broke my last one (slightly different design but the thin part broke like I'm expecting this one to). Also, it only takes 1.5 full turns to completely unlock the latch. Giving it 4 stars until I see how it actually performs. Plus it's cheap
