It’s very well presented but leaves out a lot of knowledge and because of this, I am only giving it a 3 out of 5 😔

Beautiful book
This is one of the best books I've ever bought for my children. Beautifully isslustratedband interesting. It really has captured their imagination. Perfect for my 8-year-old and interesting to look at for his little brother.

A little disappointed
A little disappointed at this book. It is called Exploring Hogwarts and that it shows you parts to be explored but it doesn’t. Part of which is, it only shows 1 of the 4 common rooms which I was very disappointed about and it only explains information, which most of us already knew. It’s very well presented but leaves out a lot of knowledge and because of this, I am only giving it a 3 out of 5 😔

shoddy work by illustrator and copy editor
This is a wonderful idea - and I like the balance between illustration and interesting facts about how the films were made. However, it's badly let down for me by the illustrations, which give, IMO, entirely the wrong 'feel' to the book and in one instance at least are entirely inaccurate. See picture below: Voldemort on the back of Quirrell's head. Not a very atmospheric depiction of a truly scary moment but, more importantly, Voldemort has a perfectly normal face, COMPLETE WITH NOSE! The book clearly describes him as having red eyes, and two slits, like a snake, instead of a nose. Call me pedantic, but this book is presumably designed to appeal exactly to those Harry Potter addicts who will most certainly notice mistakes in detail. Have the illustrator and copy-editor even read the books?

A gift for my daughter, it came well packaged and protected and in very short order - looked just as promised and she loved it!

First, I'm in my 60s. And I love all things Harry Potter. Bought this as collector of books and read it same day it came! Beautifully done with sweet paintings of all scenes familiar to Hogwarts. Notes detail each drawing for children to understand as well as entertaining to us adults. I will save for my young grandchildren. Highly recommend this lovely book.
