**Q: how many gallons ?**
A: It says 6.7 gallons.

**Q: Would this resist winter weather?**
A: So far it has for me.  I am in the south and do not see brutal winters.  Although, we have had a really cold season.  For me it is great that it has survived our 100 degree summers. Hope this helps.

**Q: What is the best way to use this? Replenish with 6 gallons of water when the soil is dry?**
A: I am using mine mainly for the height. I filled the bottom with rocks and then mixed sand with the foam peanuts, then put in the amount of potting soil I needed, so I just water like I would any other potted plant.....when it's dry about an inch down. I guess it depends on what you're planting, but I would not add 6 gallons of water. You could always take a picture of the planter and ask someone at a local nursery their opinion. I have pansies in mine right now and they are doing great. Good luck!

A: There is a spot to drill a drainage hole in the bottom.

I ordered this planter for a "Nearly Natural" 6' Corn Stalk Plant, which I also ordered from Amazon, and am using indoor. This planter is exactly the look I needed. The plastic seems to be of good quality. It doesn't seem it would fade if used outside. This is actually taller than what I should have ordered, so I stuffed some packing material in the bottom then stuck the plant in and covered with Spanish miss--it looks totally living and the planter is sleek and unobtrusive. Two thumbs up!

Pretty planters (I bought 2), well made, and taller/bigger than I expected.Giving 4 stars until I see if they will last through the winter, whereupon I might change my rating to a 5, depending on how that goes.These are quite nice for the price and have a neat water reservoir system in the bottom to help prevent plants from drying out.
