Clover seeds
Don’t know if I have written a review. I planted it last year. It is beautiful. I think every seed sprouted. I did not scatter as much as should havre but it will spread.

They are lovely, but Be patient.
I over-seeded them in early spring. Germination was slow and sporadic, but they are growing well once the weather has warmed up. Pretty flowers and spent flowers do look like strawberries. They have not filled the site (about 50% now in Aug). I'm waiting to see how far they will grow this season, and I will likely repeat the process next year to get better coverage and density. It's expensive compared to more common clovers, but strawberry clovers are hard to find.

Be patient and prep well!
After throwing down the seeds over a large spot of my yard I dug up to fix a plumbing problem, I gave it all a light covering of saw dust to help hold the moisture and shield it from the direct sunlight. This seemed to really help it out, as the small area I missed with sawdust was no where near as fast to grow. Watered it daily, just to keep the soil moist and threw down a little bit of lime to counteract my slightly acidic soil.So far, it has survived my 2 dogs running across it and my wife and I carefully walking over it. If it wouldn't block access to the back yard, I would have barricaded it off, but I am very happy it is hearty enough to survive this kind of thing! I also realized far too late that I had comically over-seeded the area, since I was just hand-throwing the seed, but it doesn't seem to have been a problem. The picture of the clover puppies is 2-3 months after planting. It takes a while to establish itself and doesn't show much growth at all for several weeks. I was beginning to think the seeds were duds, then seemingly overnight, the clover exploded out of the ground, so be patient!Supposedly, it will grow in all climate zones, as well as shade/direct sunlight, and is drought resistant. We'll have to see how it handles a frigid Alaskan winter, whether or not it will survive the limited rain under my deck and the area of dense shade. I'm trying to be optimistic, but only time will tell. The product picture makes it look like a deceptively large bag of seeds since it doesn't give you anything for scale, so I was surprised at how small the bag was in real life. I attached a picture to give you an idea of how small of a bag it is. This is why I knocked off a star.

Your Fescue will love this clover!
Updated with picture at 6 weeks. Mowed first time - very thick! This clover is a bit different than Dutch White... it's a brighter green with a smaller leaf size. I tested it out in the back this past spring and was happy with how easily it took and the look of it. It didn't flower in its first season and I'm not sure it ever does? I can tell you it can handle heavy traffic from kids and dog activities. The micro clover from outside pride did not take as well as this one (tried it last season and it came in just okay but not dense, and it also wasn't very micro)We live in zone 7 where it transitions between the North and the South. We have tried so many types of grass that claim to be drought tolerant and heat tolerant as our weather is all over the place and we are on a well. None of them survive their first summer season! I read that clover is a natural fertilizer for other grasses and I can attest to this as the fescues in the back survived the summer alongside this clover. I only had to mow for the grasses because the clover never got to be higher than 2 in and I wonder if this will remain the case?I love the look of fluffy clover dominating over a fine blade grass, and I know it will be a lot less maintenance and lawn mowing, so this year I bought five bags of this stuff. to prepare I bought the aerator sandals on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C6J64FG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_WEWGFbMXT9BB5I mowed our mixed grasses to the lowest level while wearing the sandals. I raked the loose stuff away and cast this clover seed by hand generously. I was diligent about using the sprinkler on days that we didn't get rain... It's a whole process to move it around to cover all the areas but totally worth it for this stuff to establish properly. They germinated in about three days. The picture I posted is day five. I was surprised to see how well it took even in the wild thatchy Bermuda patches. I think the aeration played a role in the success, so I highly recommend doing that if you have dense clay soil. I overseeded with a lesser portion of a fine fescue hoping that this will dominate and keep the fescue healthy during the hot months. If you want to worry less about your lawn, introduce beautiful texture and color and spend more time enjoying it versus maintaining it, buy this particular clover seed and buy a generous amount! I really like the brighter green and smaller leaf size of this variety! It looks more whimsical :-)I will follow up with another photo once this has made it through an entire season. Hopefully this helps other people who have been struggling to establish something consistent and low maintenance as I have!

Sometimes they grow, sometimes they don’t, in the same yard. Disappointed.
I don’t know what’s going wrong, but these will grow in some areas, and completely refuse to grow in other areas of the same yard, same lawn, same soil. A few areas, they came up in small patches, but others they refused to come up at all, in spite of 2x daily watering and warm temperatures. Again, some came up. I came back here searching for tips from other reviewers. After all the positive reviews, I’m pretty disappointed at how poorly these seeds have performed. I’ve purchased 3 bags now and keep trying, with no results. The areas I’m trying to cover used to have grass, but leaves left over winter killed it. There shouldn’t be anything wrong with the soil, it’s just cottonwood leaves that also fall on the areas where the grass is fine, but something about an over winter pile, and nothing will grow there now. I don’t know what to do, this has been mostly a waste of time, money, and water.Would love to see more guidance in the product description, or any sort of support or guidance anywhere. I followed the directions, and they won’t come up. I thought the “turf builder” brand would be successful, but it’s not.

AMAZING! I love my clover lawn
I am in upstate NY. We had a house built and it's on a little hill because of bedrock and ground water, so we had to bring sand fill in to surround the foundation. We put out topsoil and had it hydroseeded. Hardly anything grew. The topsoil didn't really cut it and the grass seed didn't like the sand I guess. That was in the fall, and in the spring there was maybe 5% grass in the area. I decided to go ahead with the clover lawn I wanted anyway, which would add nutrients and help feed the pollinators. Our neighbor keeps honeybees.I got 4 bags of this Scott's clover but only ended up using 2. I planted it in April. Nothing happened. I figured at that point, nothing was going to grow in the sand. Then in June all of the sudden green started to appear. The clover! And WOW did it grow. It came in absolutely beautiful and thick. It just needed the right weather conditions I guess. It grew the whole summer and I think I only mowed it once because it doesn't grow tall like grass. I had a beautiful, thick, vibrant green lawn of clover straight until the snow covered it. I was told it wouldn't come back the next year but it did. This is perennial. Now here I am the following April, and the previously existing well established grass looks like garbage while the clover immediately sprang back to life and turned green. It is really nice.I highly recommend a clover lawn. It acts as fertilizer, somehow grows where the grass won't, helps beneficial bees, and you don't have to mow it like grass.

Huge commitment.
This probably would have worked great if you watered twice a day for the entire summer. Early morning and late afternoons. I watered early mornings and late afternoon to avoid the sun. I did this for a full two months before I started watering less often egg grew very, very slow. In the moment I stopped watering twice a day it all just completely died off my photo show when it was first planted and then what it looks like currently. Definitely not easy to use and I don’t think I would recommend this at least not planning in the spring maybe the fall? I’m not sure. I purchased two bags and it did not come close to covering my small backyard. I think this was a very expensive for absolutely no benefit.

Defective product
Do not recommend this product. Despite following instructions, it had been a month since clover arrived and we seeded our yard and nothing has grown. No sign of clover anywhere. Very disappointed for the price we paid.
