Must Have Cookbook for Any Kitchen
I'm in love with this book. Having found Binging with Banish on YouTube, I was amazed at how accessable Andrew Rea made these fantastical recipes. When my husband got me this cookbook it made me so excited, because not only did it have all the recipes that I enjoyed from his series - they were broken up into accessable chunks. There were times when I was flipping through the book for the first time I could have sworn I heard Andrew Rea's voice. All the comments and information in this book are great, and the forward by Jon Favreau just adds to the enjoyment of the book. If you're a fan of the YouTube series, I definitely recommend getting this cookbook - especially if you ever thought to yourself "I'd like to try that," ever while watching a movie or TV show.

Great cookbook! Highly reccomend
I have followed Andrew on YouTube for years now. I love pretty much everything he does. He is so humble and highly relatable. One of my favorite things that he does in this cookbook is give his honest opinion on the outcome of the recipes. The candy spaghetti recipe is funny to see and nothing I would ever try. I enjoy all of the tips and little facts about the recipe or the episode that he published. On one hand I don't like having recipes in here for something that no one should ever try...but when you look at the concept of the book, I do believe it was important to include some of the ridiculous. I remain a Babish faithful and look forward to everything else Andrew puts out. Buy the book, its worth it. FYI, my favorite recipe was Kevin's Chili from The Office....only because I haven't attempted the Cubano from Chef yet.

LOVE THIS BOOK
So I found out about this book recently, and it was a gift for my friend's birthday. I glanced at it before I wrapped it, and I almost kept it for myself! I love Binging with Babish's youtube channel and the different categories he has his videos in. The videos are wonderful, and he really connects with the viewer/reader both on the screen and through the page. He's very relatable, and it's easy to follow his recipes. Some videos' he goes over the top and it adds something extra special to the video. I hope he adds a book about how to make the movie/tv show props. (Santa's coco cup comes to mind)

This requires two separate reviews...
This is a really difficult review to write, because Amazon's review system only allows for one rating. To do this book justice, it almost requires two. Here's the thing: As a form of entertainment, this "cookbook" is immensely satisfying. The tales behind the recipes, the food photography, all of it adds up to a very worthwhile experience. Also, as a movie/TV nerd who loves to find new ways to connect with a form of entertainment that I love, this book speaks to me. In this regard, the book deserves a 5-star rating. But as an actual cookbook, well.... The problem is that by Andrew Rea's own admission, some of these recipes are, at best, impractical if not virtually impossible for the average home chef. One recipe requires exotic meats that pushed the cost of the meal to over $400. Others require similarly difficult to obtain ingredients or cooking methods that will simply be well beyond the range of any average purchaser of this book. A few recipes do offer home cook-friendly alternatives, but others, frustratingly don't. And, of course, there are some fictional recipes that are just practically impossible to make (or eat), no matter what, outside of as a novelty for a YouTube channel. The very nature of a cookbook is for every recipe to be achievable and, more importantly, consumable. So as strictly a cookbook, Binging with Babish sometimes fails. But as a whole, this book will make a nice addition to cookbook shelf, and no doubt a few of the recipes within will make their way to my dinner table.

Sleek, well-detailed, and the perfect gift!
I ordered Babish's cookbook for my boyfriend's birthday (he's a big fan of the YouTube series) and he is obsessed! The hardcover is stunning, each photo is crystal-clear, and the anecdotes and pages about Andrew Rea's life are a wholesome and down-to-earth touch to the cookbook. The recipes included are detailed, concise, but not too complicated either, so us beginner cooks can follow them too! (I personally can't wait to try making the Wild Mushroom Soup!) Totally reccomend!

Buen libro de cocina
A pesar que la primera vez me llegó rayado y con una apariencia de que había sido usado con anterioridad. El libro como tal, la información interna es muy buena y con muy buenas recetas de platillos para degustar

Great book
Great recipes with a clear and narrative flow. Cleverly laid out with a very useful index to direct you to specific components of a recipe. Particularly helpful when you want to riff on a recipe using a blend of parts from several... like every index ever really. Beautiful photography and some touching stories that are much easier to skip in a hurry than your average cooking websites rambling, ad-ridden train-wreck of a format

Delightful person, delightful book, delightful food!
It's nice to have this interactive experience of knowing the youtube channel and now having the book in my hands. Usually I skip the intros and forewords etc. but in ths case they're worth readìng. Andrew Rea is truly a gem of a person, he talks a little about his personal journey that led him to this point in life- he is humble, kind, cordial, funny and filled with gratitude about everything that Bingng with Babish has become. I'd already recreated some of the recipes from the youtube vids, but having the book is a nice bonus. The usual meticulous, clear and humourous directions and explanations, fun facts and personal anectodes- very nice, accessible and done with love. Can't wait to have some more time and peace of mind in the next year to try the recipes! A word to the state of the book and delivery: There seem to be issues with storage and handling of the book, I returned the first copy I received as the cover was grey from being scuffed, the first 20 pages were damaged, with holes and scratches in them. Returning and getting a replacement was no issue, all accomplished in less than a week, but the 2nd copy also appears mishandled, the spine is dented on the corner.Amazon or the publisher need to take more care with their wares.

Everything you want from Babish
If you watch Babish on Youtube, I'm sure you already know exactly what to expect from his book. It has beautifully detailed photos, witty commentary, delicious and unique recipes, and a couple heartfelt anecdotes inside as well. Even if you're not a fan of Babish, this is a well crafted cook book that provides a twist to your daily cooking, and entertains as you go along.

Sigh. I'm in love.
This is literally how I've been holding, loving and caressing this book all day. I subscribed to Babish back in the day and as I hold this book, all those early hours came rushing back to me. You can tell this book has been carefully written, the recipes painstakingly curated and boy oh boy is it worth everything. I don't think you have to be a fan of the show to get this book. I have never bought a cooking book before. Never bought anything off a Youtuber either and this feels like a slippery slope. Man I can't even find the words to describe how happy this book makes me. Boy oh boy. Feels like I'm onstage after receiving an Oscar.
