Only the white part and the trim at the legs are stretchy; the coloured parts (collar and skirt) are not stretchy but they are a nice soft to touch material and the skirt has an adjustable elasticated waistband and also a zip to fasten. Since only the little white 'V' at the neckline is stretchy this can mean that the garment is difficult to put on/take off without smearing makeup if you wish to use it. The garment is much better quality than similar cheaper products that I have tried in the past, but then again it is a fair bit more expensive. The size chart provided by the seller is accurate and because of the stretch the garment is fairly forgiving on size anyway if you are a typical body shape BUT I am usually size 16 but have small hips and I ordered the XL which turned out to be baggy round the bottom. If you are not a typical body shape then my suggestion would be to use the size chart provided, and if any one of your body measurements (bust, waist, hips or torso length) is less than the minimum stretch size given then consider going down a size, providing of course that you don't then go under the maximum stretch size anywhere else. If anything being loose on top and gathered on the skirt adds to the charm, even though I sized up the bodysuit isn’t too loose at the fastening, but it’s one of those things I’ll fix with sewing.
