Lots of accessories! *by T***. on Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2017* These trekking poles are a great value! I’ve only had a chance to use them for a weekend but they held up well to bushwhacking up MacNaughton Mountain in the Adirondacks. Throughout the trip the poles were used on almost every terrain you could think of, they were hit on trees constantly(bushwhacking) and overall were put through the paces fairly well. I feel pretty confident that these will hold up for quite a while but unfortunately only time will tell. Onto the in depth review...Top to bottom: The secondary hand grip is definitely useful when not wanting to adjust your poles for small sections of hills. Both grips feel like high quality grips. I’ve only used plastic grips up until now and the cork was very nice in comparison. The hand straps are easily adjustable. Not much to worry about there. Now onto the adjustment clamps: the clamps work as they should and I did a lot of height adjustments during my trip. I only had an issue with a pole retracting once or twice but that was obviously user error. Make sure you check for how tight the clamp tightens down: now too easy and not too hard. The best position seemed to make the clamp snap into position. The shafts themselves seem to be good quality. I did notice a tinnnnny piece of fiberglass strand coming off a pole but it’s not enough to make me concerned. I’m not sure if this is common with fiberglass poles, as I’ve only used aluminum until now, but they do make a sound when used on hard surfaces. To me this merely sounds like the fiberglass slightly flexing (which I’ve read is pretty normal) but regardless of what it is it did seem to allow for some nice shock absorption. Oh and I was very happy with the amount of accessories that came with these! The carabiners were useful to use on my pack, especially since they’re locking, and the storage bag is awesome to have! I can’t comment on the other attachments but the mud basket with carbide tip worked as they should but having the extra attachments is nice! I had seen countless people using trekking poles and finally decided to cave and get a pair for myself. When I was deciding to buy a pair, I came across these beauties and instantly fell in love with them. They are extremely light and durable and are made from good quality materials. I figured that it would make more sense spending a little more money for something that was good quality and would last me for years to come.The second thing that impressed me was the customer service that this company provides. The first day I had gone hiking with my new trekking poles, I was hiking through a lot of foliage when one of my rubber tips had fallen off (perhaps a defect in the tip itself). I was really upset especially since it was brand new and It was impossible to find with all the leaves on the ground.
