Medium size Golden Gate Ficus, a very nice one!!
so I ordered the medium size Golden gate ficus, the description says it's about 7 years old. it showed up today, it arrived safely was packed very well and it seems to be very healthy, it's bigger than I expected, the trunk is much thicker than I expected, and I must say overall I am very pleased with this purchase,. For what it cost I feel like it was quite a good deal. I mean 30 bucks for a really nice plants in a bonsai pot that I would imagine has been very well taken care of, it's not bad. Unfortunately I don't really love the white and oval pot, i like the square pots and pretty much anything would have been better than white except for maybe pink lol so the pots a little disappointing but I guess I really can't complain too much is it's a really really nice tree. The local nursery around me has a bonsai selection and I bought a couple from them several years back, their selection is not really anything special, none of them were anywhere as nice as this tree and I really didn't want to get another one from them but at the same time I was a little worried about ordering one online, I was thinking man I hate to get a tree that I can't see first what if it's ugly, what if I get a bad one, and so on, this one doesn't look quite as nice as the stock photo but I think it looks great overall, it does need trimmed a little bit but of course I'm going to wait a little while before I do anything like that to it, I'm sure it's kind of in a bad mood after being in a box for several days and driven around. But I can't say I'm pretty happy with this purchase. It's a very nice tree

Bonsai Tree Excellence!
I was totally impressed! There is nothing I can say that is one complaint about the overall experience in purchasing this Hawaiian Umbrella Tree. As you can see it came filled to the top with peanut filling. Inside was sturdy cardboard boxing, plastic wrapping with foam all around the plant to hold in place. When the UPS guy handed me the box it was upside down! The box had in big lettering "caution live plant" all over it. So you can only imagine what that poor box went through for the entire delivery trip. But not one leaf was damaged! Even all the soil was in place inside the pot. Plant arrived perfect with moist soil. Was also very happy to get the navy blue ceramic pot. I also ordered the Eve's Drip humidity tray 12" x 9". It came with small light beige rocks that filled the entire tray. Eve's also has smaller sized trays with or without rocks. As you can see my tree with the rocks looks great. I also added my own decorative darker colored rocks that I bought years ago. You may also want to add a full spectrum grow lamp for growing in dimmer shaded areas in your home. I prefer the bright white LED light over that weird purple grow light. I ordered the (clip-on) 24W LED iPower Multi-Spectrum LED Grow Light for Plant Growth and Flowering. You can also paint the back of the iPower bulb casing to match your decor. I highly recommend all of the items! You can't go wrong with this Bonsai tree! Eve's Bonsai Humidity Drip Tray 12" x 9" with Pebbles Overall size 12" x 9" to fit a 11" x 8" on the bottom of the pot ]] iPower Multi-Spectrum LED Grow Light for Plant Growth and Flowering,24w,6 Red and 12 White LEDs, Waterproof IP65, (630 ~ 660nm Red, 430 ~ 460nm Blue) with Clamp Lamp Socket Combo

Struggling tree and TERRIBLE Customer service!!!!
So here's the deal, when I got this tree it seemed healthy. for the most part, came in good shape however the place left many wires on the tree from their shaping that had started to be grown over. This alone one could assume would be unhealthy for the tree. However, the real problem came hardly three days after getting the tree wherein all the leave over a two-day span went from green- to brown speckles- to shriveled and black. The black coloring even started going down the green stems to the branches. Of course, I was terrified and got in contact with many other tree owners through forums and shared pictures and thoughts back and forth. We all agreed that the tree must be sick in some way- be it soil of fungus base we were unable to tell. So in a risky and fear driven state for my tree, I did what I was instructed by friends and trimmed away all the blackening parts to stop the spread. This only left about ten left near the top of the tree alive. It is now making an ever slow and careful recovery but Sadly I don't think it will ever look quite the same. The real problem, however, is with the company, you see the day my tree started to brown I tried to get ahold of them on Amazon- which is sadly not an option. Thus with some searching, I found their base website and contacted them to ask what I should do and if at the very least they would allow me to return this tree and get another healthier one. They, of course, did not respond. AT ALL. So the next day as the leaves turned black I called their company line to now asked for some action to be taken as anyone can agree that blackening leaves is not healthy. The woman who took the call was rude and short with me while I stayed calm and apologized for any misunderstanding I might have with the trees state but that I would like something to be done. The woman then went to blame me and say that I likely let the plant outside in the winter- which while I am in Oregon and can attest to winter this year- for the whole week I had gotten it the snow had been long gone and had been in the 60-70s all week. So frankly I was offended by this. After that, she told me to send an email to her personal company email so she can look at photos of the tree and then we could talk from there. I still stayed ever kind and allowed the woman to be short with me as I explained that I will send them as soon as I get to a computer after my lunch break at work. With an Email sent to her, I waited. And waited. Sure enough, it has been over two weeks and they have never responded and now for having this tree for a month, they will not hold up the end of their 30-day policy even though I tried in vain to get in contact with them a meer four-five days after getting the tree. To say the least I do not support this company and would highly suggest that you try a different or more local source for your trees. Seeing as this company willingly ignored the three different attempts in me trying to fix what is ultimately their fault.

Sadly updated Yup this is a cute mini tree just perfect no joke
๐ฉ๐๐ญ UPDATE (pictures uploaded at the end of the pics from 28days later) My BB (Beautiful Bonsai) is taking a turn for the worst ๐๐ป ๐ค I do not understand why.. ๐ง๐ ๐ปโโ๏ธ I've followed all the instructions/rules. I bought (that I definitely couldn't afford) bonsai fertilizer, bonsai digging tools and scissors, I educated myself on the how to's and what to's, I don't let it stay in the 90+ weather we've had a couple time already, I put it in the shade, I water it only a couple times a week, and I bring it in when it's to hot out,. I even built a window shelf on the outside of my bedroom window so I could enjoy it & now it looks like it's dying ๐ญ It's only been 28 days just right before the 30day mark. Idk what I could have did wrong?? How can I help my baby tree be okay again ๐๐ณ It's just perfect. My first bonsai tree.! ๐ I've been ๐ eyeballing this one for awhile now. But because I don't have much money to just buy one and it die or be a stick (like some reviewers said) I was hesitatant. Fnally after several weeks, I figured out all the ones on Google, Walmart, eBay, and on here. This is the one I took my chance on & I am so glad I did.! The price is great for one. & It's so little so cute so unique. Looks just like the picture. I love it very much thank youโค I did however not get the lil fisherman but I was to grateful that it didn't matter. Would of been cool tho.

HOLY BONSAI !!!!!!!
I ordered this product and I thought it might be a little pricey for what it was. But let me tell you it was worth every penny. When I opened up my package I couldn't believe the size of the thing. It must be at least 3 feet tall and the trunk is real thick! (whoa that sounded bad...uk what I mean) But my point is this product was draw dropping. There are sooo many leaves and branches that I had to immediately started chopping away at it to make it look somewhat equal on both sides. I wonder if my redwood will live until the year 4000 or 5000 A.D.... well that's wishful thinking but the tree is very healthy and was shipped in a timely manner and over packaged to the point where I don't think any damage occurred. But just so everyone knows. This is a deciduous bonsai. That means it stays outside! If your trying to get this for your home then its not for you. The leaves all fall off during winter and it survives freezing temps. Find out your USDA hardiness zone and check to see if its compatible with a dawn redwood. Dawn Redwoods or metaseqouias are like a close cousin of giant and coastal redwoods. A small patch of them were discovered in 1941 in china and scientists took seed specimens and spread them across the world to preserve this beautiful tree. They don't really grow in the wild anymore unless someone plants them. But their hardiness conditions vary greatly from the other two more famous redwoods. Dawn Redwoods can handle harsh winters. I'm located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and my zone is 5 or 4b. Check your zone and see if its a fit for you. And one more thing... These trees grow veryyyyy fast. I planted a bare root one this spring and its growing like a beanstalk. So that's another plus for this tree.

Great plant... broken pot... business replaced free of charge.
I have ordered bonsai from Brussel's before so I knew what to expect. Realize that you will get a healthy specimen... BUT you will need to do the 'trimming' and shaping on your own. Some places will sell you a shaped and ready to display tree... just realize that you will pay MUCH more. That said... also know what your ordering. The redwood i received looked like "charlie browns Christmas tree"... (aka. NO green) but that's right on par since the plant is dormant in the winter months and sheds it foliage in the fall. It is, however, covered with buds so i can see a lot of potential for the upcoming growing season. For the packaging... expect the pot to be secured in foam and firmly plastic wrapped/taped to secure. The plant foliage itself with be shrouded in a billion packing peanuts to keep damage from being jostled around to a minimum. My suggestion here is to us a shop vac to "gently" suck them out until the plant can be removed. Unfortunately... this time around i received a great plant with a firmly secured smashed pot. The tape/plastic wrap kept the pot and dirt together but to say i was disappointed was an understatement. The box itself contained a "live plant" warning and a certificate, but no where did it say "fragile" or "Glass" or anything to indicate the breakable pot. So i snapped a few photos and emailed the company about the pot. I followed the email with a call to the company and explained that i didn't want to send the whole plant back (Amazons return policy), as there was nothing wrong with the plant, i simply wanted a new pot and possibly some securing wire and a little replacement dirt. Brussels did just that... 3 days later i received a new pot, wire and a little bag of dirt. Was it Brussels or the shipping company's fault that the pot was broken? Completely debatable. Did Brussels do what i asked in regards to satisfying me with this purchase... Yes! And for that reason i have plans to continue to order from them. I value business's that value me.

Blew my expectations out of the water!
Very lovely/healthy tree. I know it looks dead in the pics but it is just dormant, the buds are swelled and ready to bloom any week now! My favorite part is the spectacular NEBARI! This tree will give me a jump start on a red wood bonsai piece. The only complaint i have is there is a bare spot on the lower part of the trunk... it will require some branch grafting before i can begin training it for bonsai. I think i should also mention that other than the bare spot on the trunk, the top of the tree has an excellent start on ramification. The tree comes in a very sturdy ceramic pot. If you are a bonsai enthusiast like myself, the pot that comes with the tree is only training quality, it is not a presentable display pot for showing off your work of art. However if you are not a bonsai enthusiast and want this item for home decor it is still a beautiful pot. Can't wait until the spring so i can plant my redwood in the ground to thicken up the trunk!

Absolutely wonderful. Tree and company as well
This plant is just lovely. I absolutely adore it. It fits in so well with my other bonsai trees. I feel calm when I spend time caring for it. It would make for a perfect gift, so unique. They're truly hard to find. It's a great plant for beginners as these are resilient and do well in many types of light. It's easy to grow too. The company is a small business and they are great to work with if you have any questions. best bonsai company I have found. I will be ordering all of my trees from them. Definitely recommend, don't bother with the big companies, they don't put the care into their trees and lack the knowledge. Try one! Bonsai trees are a wonderful hobby, especially for stress relief.
