PRICE.
I MAKE LAMPS FROM DISCARDED BOTTLES AND JARS. I HAVE TO THREAD THE LIGHT WIRE THRU THE HOLE I DRILLED IN THE BOTTLE TO COME OUT THE NECK. NEITHER THE PLUG NOR LIGHT SOCKET WILL FIT THROUGH THE HOLE. SO I HAVE TO CUT THE WIRES APART AND THEN REJOIN THE WIRES. THEN I TWIST THE WIRES TOGETHER, PUT ON THE SHRINK TUBE WHICH IS CUT FROM THE 100' SPOOL THEN SOLDER ALL WIRES TOGETHER PULL THE SHRINK TUBE INTO PLACE OVER THE UNION. I USE A HEAT GUN TO SHRINK THE TUBE.THIS TUBING IS A 2/1 AND WORKS PERFECTLY AS I HAVE TWO WIRES ON ONE SIDE AND ONE WIRE ON THE ON THE SIDE OF THE UNION. THE LAMP, ONCE FINISHED IS SAFE FROM CAUSING AN ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR BECOME A FIRE HAZARD, SHOULD THE BOTTLE BE DROPPED AND BROKEN.NOTE: NOTICE THE ALLIGATOR CLIPS ON MY SOLDER STATION. THE JAWS ARE SERRATED SO I USED SHRINK TUBE TO COVER THE LOWER AND UPPER JAWS AND WA LA PROBLEM SOLVED.I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED MY SECOND REEL OF 100' 2/1 SHRINK TUBE AND I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT COMPLETELY

Do you love apple but hate their cords??
I love my apple products but I hate the cords. I have already replaced my MacBook cord twice. My MacBook is 9 years old. I'm not spending a fortune again! The rubbery sheath on the cord separated again. When it separate, it shrinks away from each other. I ordered the white, 5 FT 3/8" 9mm Polyolefin White Heat Shrink Tubing 2:1 Ratio. ::This will fit over the slender connection. The problem is that when you shrink it with your heat gun, the 2:1 Ratio isn't tight enough. The remedy for that is after it shrinks as far as it shrinks you heat from top to bottom a section of the shrink wrap then twist. You move all the way to the end. This way it stays snuggly on the section you are covering. Please note you're not twisting the wire, you are twisting the shrink tube so it stays closer to the cording and doesn't move away from what you are covering. The first picture shows that the shrink tube doesn't quick shrink enough for our needs. each section is heated and while hot twist the tubing and hold until it cools. Then keep moving down the cord as far as you have shrink tubing. If you have an apple cord and it's starting to separate somewhere in the middle, order this now to fix it and or keep it from separating any further. I plan to fix all of my apple cords before they do this again!!

Great quality product.
This is exactly what I needed. Having to go through and re-identify the white wire of about 150 twisted shielded pair cables so they meet a black and red color code I started looking for red shrink tubing. My options seemed really limited since either I couldn’t find it small enough to shrink down on an 18AWG wire, or it had the adhesive inside and the thickness would have made it too large for the labels that were going to be placed on the wire. I thought I’d try this since the price was really reasonable and with the 100’ roll I could cut off the various lengths I needed without having to waste a lot like I would have with the other products I’d seen available only in 3’ and 6’ lengths. This stuff shrinks down and holds onto the wire just fine. It also doesn’t add a lot of girth so I’m able to reuse the wire tags which is going to save me a LOT of time.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT
Fast shipping, good product, exactly what I needed, excellent price.I build a lot of custom cables and use heat shrink tubing for color coding them. This size is perfect for smaller install cables.I'll be back for more.

Fantastic product for iPhone lightning charge cables
This product was perfect to fix my fraying iPhone charging cables. The 6mm or 1/4” size is what you want to fix an iPhone lightning connector charge cable. I see some people posting photos of their product looking all lumpy after heating the product. This results from improper heating. You need to heat from one end and only move on once the wrap has completely shrunk; otherwise you will trap air inside the middle and get bumps and bubbles. I fixed and reinforced all of my cables in less than 5 minutes. Great product and fantastic price. Would strongly recommend to anyone!

Shrinks clear and easy to use
I put about a foot of this into a '79 Washburn A20-V guitar to strengthen the wires. It didn't get down to the original 26 gauge size, but it did fit on today's 22 gauge. Easy to work with, just using a hair dryer. Heat it up and let it shrink. Then, wait about 10 seconds and hit it again to make it shrink just a little more if you need to. You can still see your work inside the tubing, which is nice.

Good hs tubing but expensive.
Like the thickness which is not as thin as some but thinner than others. I did not like that it was rolled in a way that it was more folded than rolled. Considering shipping treatment of small packages, I am not sure what shipper could do. Price was too high - almost $1 / ft. But, it works and that is the ultimate ability... it does what is os supposed to do. Consider what I said above, but of you need it, this will work.
