These replaced a 25 year old set of Bose yard speakers. These have the same exact footprint and are capable of handling both the left and right channels within each unit. I am only using each for a single channel and they sound amazing! The bass response is exceptional and the highs are crisp. We are hearing elements of the same music we’ve listened to for years on the old speakers that we never noticed before! They are made of durable plastic and we’re a snap to wire using the existing wiring from the speakers they replaced. These speakers are well worth it and quite affordable.

Works well. Good sound, although a little heavy on the bass. I installed it in the ground so that probably enhances the bass. I was able to adjust my amp to increase treble which makes the sound a bit better. Seems like decent construction. I would like the top dome to have more of a "drip edge" to stop rain drops from adhering to the top (cohesion) and possibly following it into the speaker area. Mine is installed under a palm shrub with large leaves so it won't get much water. Not sure about ants/bugs making a nest inside . I see the foam around the top but I don't know if it will stop insects from getting inside. The bottom is sealed well,, particularly where the wires exit the base using waterproof grommets. I ordered the 8" DVC and was surprised how big the entire unit is. It's about 13" square and needs about 6 - 8" of depth if you bury it, leaving about 2" below the foam aiove earth level.

I have a large patio with a pool and was looking for a solution to getting music going. We considered battery powered bluetooth connected speakers and soffit mounted outdoor passive speakers. I stumbled upon these right before i was about to order some Polk speakers and i'm very glad i did. I buried these to the recommended depth and connected them to a small 2 channel amplifier inside my house. I have an echo dot connected to the amplifier. I ran outdoor lighting wire to these as it is much cheaper than outdoor speaker wire. The amp is rated 120 x 2 @ 4 ohms which is a great match for these. I love having the amplifier indoors away from the elements and the fact that i can control the volume and music from my phone. I connected each channel of the amp to both speakers to get stereo sound from each. It really is impressive how good it sounds. There is no replacement for displacement in getting good low range from speakers. Burying these in the ground gives fantastic bass response for an outdoor speaker. Massive bang for your buck with these, highly recommend. I will update if there are any issues with these lasting but based on their design I don't foresee having any issues.

Ordered this Stereo unit for an outdoor location in the front of my home. At 50 percent volume the unit produces clear sound that can be heard over 60 feet in any direction. Neighbors comment how it is clear and rich. Some feel like they are walking in high scale resort with the quality of sound. Only con unlike its non stereo family the unit comes with really short burial rated wire. The non stereo units have almost fifty feet, this unit has two wires that cannot be over 12 feet in length. Otherwise no cons, just dig a hole about half the height of the unit drop it in wire it and go.

This is my second set of patio in ground speakers. The first set lasted 15 years. Great sound when wired in parallel, reducing the speaker resistance from 8 ohms to 4 ohms. Well worth the money, in my opinion. A sub woofer will complement the overall sound although the bass is good.

Update/Edit: reduced from 5-stars to 2-stars — each of these speakers have died within a 4-year span. :( [original review] ... good bass and crisp treble ... these work great in a landscape environment where single-point stereo often is a better solution than left/right speakers due to the many ways you walk about the space. carefully remove the foam covering and it makes painting these (mine are now gray) a snap.

They are not speakers that you would have in your living room, but in a garden or anywhere outside they are remarkable. They give a surprising 360 degree surround like sound, that is very clear and full. Each speaker has a wiring harness that allows you to hook up both the right and left channels, supporting a stereo like sound from one speaker. I purchased two speakers and wired one as a right channel and the other as the left channel. I am very satisfied, though given the manner of which I wired them I wonder if the less expensive speakers would have done as well? Regardless, these are great speakers at a fantastic price.

Doing a lot of home improvement work and had been using my tablet for some music while working. After a couple of years of rushing to get the tablet and tool out of the rain I decided it was time to upgrade to an outdoor sound system. Got jerked around by Amazon on this. Had a very low price on it and after the reviews it won out over the competition. Unfortunately It was "on order" for months, then finally canceled. Finally broke down and re-ordered. Am not a sound expert but I like this speaker. Combined it with an Insignia NS-STR514 200W Stereo Receiver With Bluetooth. Buried the speaker out by the patio I'm building and it sounds great.
