These are too small to chill if you start with room temperature bourbon. However, if you refrigerate first, which we don't, it will keep the beverage cool. So we didn't like these at all. Purchased an artisan cube tray instead.

These cubes are among the best of their kind. They're made with decent quality stainless, so they're safe to use and reuse indefinitely. They're filled with a non toxic solution which freezes. This allows them to outperform whiskey stones by a substantial margin, and even beat solid stainless. This is accomplished by the freezing/thawing phase change, which enables these to capture more heat than a non-freezing product.However, they are still not as effective as regular ice. This is offset by the fact that they do not dilute your beverage. If you're using these with alcohol and you want maximum cold without diluting your drink with water from melting ice, you may want to chill the alcohol as well. That's something I have done successfully with whiskey stones in the past, but these are much better suited for the job.

there are only two and it's not enough to keep very cold and for any length of time. Just good to get drink off warm. They're well made and good looking items. makes your drink look "sophisticated!" I was told.

Bought as a christmas gift for the Scotch drinker. They last quite awhile and re freeze quickly. They present nicely too.
