Fission Fountain Pen, Extra Fine German Nib, Jet Black (NEM-FIS-02-EF)

I got hooked on Nemosine last year. I bought 3 demonstrators, which I loved, but all 3 dried out between uses (we're talking a matter of a few days) and one just broke. This one, though, is quite possibly the best pen I have ever owned. It writes beautifully, consistently and smoothly. It is positively seductive. Everyone who has seen it in use has wanted to touch it and every single person has asked what it is and what it cost and where can they get one....

This Fountain pen is too expensive for this quality is, and I will explain why: 1.- At first it looks like a rugged pen, then you will realize that is too heavy. 2. The nib is big and looks luxury, then you realize it is not designed for pen is too large relative to the feed. 3. When you are writing, the nib moves, it seems that this loose. I tried to pull it, pressing but still loose, poorly designed, that is something does not fit. 4. Writing with this pen is unpleasant, is scratchy and noisy. 5. The cap is threaded, short functional for people who have to use the pen repeatedly during a long day. The only nice is the converter, of course, the price already included it. I strongly recommend you not to buy this product and instead purchase a fountain pen Pilot Metropolitan, for a half of the price, and 1000 times better. I'm really very disappointed, people who reviewed this product was very benevolent.

I am so glad that you can change the nibs on this fountain pen, so many out there you can't. The 'Fission' is really smoother than some of my more expensive fountain pens I have. Converter and cartridges works great. The cartridges for this pen, using the fine nib, has worked really nicely even on recycled papers and that's a bonus to not have to worry about what paper I want to use. I really like this pen. I was a little skeptical because I have smaller hands and this pen is a bit larger and heavier, but have had no problems. I write without the cap screwed on and it feels really good in the hand. With the cap, it is a little heavier, but it's still comfortable. I will definitely be ordering an extra one.

Well crafted and durable. Impressed with the six back-up cartridges and ink it comes with. Nice steel tip for edc weapon; however, top is threaded and time consuming to remove. Writes very smooth and clean. Not heavy and feels comfortable in the hand.

I debated a lot about how I would rate this pen. I love the weight of the pen. It feels well balanced. I also love that it came with a ink converter. I like the simple design and the width of the lines it makes. I definitely prefer fine point on all pens. The only cons I have is that ink dries quickly if you don't put the cap back on. This isn't really that big of deal though. The other is that when I received the pen it had leaked in transportation. It was very difficult to get tear down the pen and clean it up but not that it's been cleaned everything works very nicely. I plan on buying another on in a different color.
