Good for skiing, hiking, traveling, and raves
I have used this phone tether for sketchy hikes and skiing where dropping my phone would make it impossible to retrieve. The cord doesnt stretch super far if you have it attached to your belt loops: it's enough for normal use, but maybe not for taking pictures from any angle you want. The caribiners themselves do have a sort of locking feature, I did notice one time it unclipped from my jacket, but I think it was user error. Overall this lanyard works well and the carabiners are good quality like you would expect from nite ize

Does what it says it will do
Yes, I would buy this again. The locks do not come with instructions but I got it figured out pretty quickly. They really are secure. I wore my phone as a wristlet on a train trip where we rode outside and wanted to hang our phones over the edge for photos. People were pointing at my wristlet and wished they had one, too. I could still put it in my pocket or cross body bag. It fits on your wrist snugly, but not tight (no marks) and relieves the fear of dropping your phone. Husband had one, too, for Paris & London. Did not wear as wrist strap but hooked to belt loop and kept phone in his pocket. I am delighted to say we were not pickpocketed. Apparently, iphones are prime targets for pick pockets.

Reliable wrist tether that needs replacement every 6-7 months
I'm on my seventh Nite Ize Hitch Phone Anchor and have another one ready to order when this one wears out. I primarily use the coiled tether to secure my phone to my wrist while skiing, working outdoors, and for general use around the house. What I love: The coil length is perfect, the clips are strong and secure, and the overall design is incredibly convenient for keeping my phone accessible but protected. It does exactly what I need it to do. The trade-off: The small fabric tab that connects the metal carabiner clips to the coiled tether is the weak point. With my regular use across various conditions, this fabric loop eventually wears through and separates after about 6-7 months. This is the only reason it's not a 5-star review. Bottom line: At $14.60, I consider this reasonable value for a product I use daily in demanding conditions. The fact that I keep reordering tells you everything - it's the best solution I've found, even with the predictable wear point. If you need a reliable phone tether and don't mind replacing it twice a year with heavy use, I definitely recommend it.

Great for skiing
This thing is awesome for skiing. We are a family of four so we constantly have our phones out on the ski lift to check in with each other when we split up. We just clip one end to the zipper in our chest pocket and leave the phone in that pocket during our runs, on the lift unzip that pocket take out the phone (tethered the the zipper) and we have now worries about dropping our phones into the snow below. It’s also great how there are clips on both ends so we can just leave the anchor piece in the phone case and unclip from the tether, leaving the coiled tether with the coat when we are done for the day.

The coiled cord may be the only weak link
I like this brand and the clips for the lanyard are awesome. The only weak link I see is how the coil cord is fastened to itself. It doesn’t look very durable. I ended up replacing the coil with paracord because I use it while fishing and didn’t want to chance it. The pad that goes in the phone case was not separating like other reviews mention and mine fit well under my thin case. With the money but time will tell as to durability.

VERY secure tether.
The stretchy tether attaches to a large flat plastic card that fits inside the case. No adhesive, so it doesn't mark the phone. The loop to which you attach the tether feeds out through the opening for the charge cable doesn't block that. Once in, it's in - stretches some but won't come out (and I really tried). It can be looped to wear around the wrist or the spring carabiner can attach to a belt loop. The carabiners are very tight and even a little difficult to take on and off. I'm pretty sure your belt loop will rip off before this thing does. Nobody's sliding your phone out of your pocket with this on.

Kept phone from being snatched from my hands and falling off ship
Bought one to secure my phone while on a cruise and land trip to Italy. Worked great and kept my phone from falling when taking pictures over the edge of the ship and at other locations, where dropping the phone ment it was gone. It was comfortable to have on around my wrist. My wife also had this on her phone during the trip and had no complaints. I am positive it kept both our phones from being snatched multiple times in some tourist areas.
