I’ve been using this every 6 weeks, and it has become a part of my regular routine!!!. I’ve tried several other brands over the years, but I always come back to this one because it consistently gives me the best results. It saves me so much money compared to going to a salon, and I honestly can’t tell much of a difference. I know every hair dye is never permanent and doesn’t last forever but I have to say this one has lasted long than any of the others! The biggest reason I love it is the gray coverage. I have stubborn grays, especially around my temples and hairline, and this covers every single one. The color always comes out rich, even, and natural-looking without looking flat or fake. I never have to worry about patchy spots or uneven color. The application is super easy. The instructions are straightforward, and the crème formula is thick enough that it doesn’t drip all over the place while I’m applying it. Everything I need is included in the box, which makes the whole process quick and convenient. What really keeps me coming back is how healthy my hair feels afterward. I expected permanent hair dye to leave my hair feeling dry, but that’s never been the case with this one. The conditioner that’s included is amazing. Before and after . I’m so happy with my results ! As you can see my hair had grays mainly in the front . This was my first time using box dye - I normally get it professionally done or my mom has her license so she gets the supplies for me ,however that wasn’t an option at this time so after the reviews I went with dark brown. It came out dark as you can see in the picture but it looks great and vibrant and covered everything perfectly . I am very happy with the results and I received many compliments edit : forgot to say I used two boxes 😬

I've used this product for years. It saved me money, but more importantly it saved my hair. I had spent 100s at Salons, and they dried my hair out. It wasn't as shiny as it became once I used L'OReals Excellence. Now my hair has grown down to my waist. I get compliments all the time, and it covers gray, or in my case white roots, better than any product out there. Make certain it's Excellence. Excellence is the one for graying hair, while keeping it shiny and healthy. The color is real, your hair will love it.

I HAVE BEEN DYING MY HAIR FOR DECADES... I am now 76... yes... quite a huge age but my spirit is still young! Over the earlier years... and until a couple of years ago...I had been using Clairol SOY4PlEX that needed to be blended with a separate developer that I needed to measure. I used the Clairol product because that was what all the "professional" hair colorist in a hair salon would use back in the olden days. For whatever reason... this past year plus...I decided to try something new. I have fine & thin hair and was a bit afraid to try a new product. I ordered the "L'oreal Paris Excellence Creme 6A". It was so much easier to mix! But... the big reason that I am writing this review is because of the superior quality of this product. The application is easier... but the result of using this product was SO much better! My hair after application is so soft and smooth! The color is superior too! This L'oreal product has not faded like the Clairol product would over time. It is a huge improvement! L'oreal also includes a great conditioner and gloves and an easy step by step instruction page. A+++

I never expected hair color to be something I get through Amazon, but I got tired of local store shelves not stocking my specific hair color shade during the holidays - and local stocking problems have been getting worse, maybe as more people find out how great this hair color works! During COVID, I exclusively began coloring my hair at home, and I'm still doing that. The money savings are outstanding (I've paid as much as $200 for hair color appt, with tip) so a box that is between $8-14 (goes on sale at times, different stores offer at different prices) saves me a LOT of money. I also like being able to control the timing, as I can do it at night when stores are closed. I find this doesn't drip, so I do sometimes leave the bathroom and wonder around to get things done around the house while its working or sometimes just veg and watch TV. I like the comb applicator a lot, because I feel this helps get it down closer to scalp roots. I have a little ritual for mixing the color - after getting all the color out into the applicator bottle - and I mean ALL the color out, just like your hairstylist does - use a comb or other hard edged something and push every last bit of color out - after that I put the applicator top back on the applicator bottle for shaking. I don't stop with just shaking. Once I think it is mixed, then I open the very top tiny tip cap of the applicator bottle, loosen the applicator top, and I blow into the tip to push the mixed color and applicator product back fully into the applicator bottle. Then I retighten both tops on the applicator bottle, and I shake more. This way if straight color got stuck into the applicator top, it is back into the bottle for complete mixing. I don't know if this matters, but I have consistent color application every time I use this product. Once I'm done shaking, then I put on the comb applicator, the included gloves, and then I start with my hair top center part area and temples, and then scalp hair tips all over, including even the undersides and back, as I often wear my hair in a ponytail. If my hair grows long down to or past my shoulders, then I've been known to use two boxes for coloring, but usually one box is all I need for coloring my hair (I have included a photo so you see length - I colored my hair two nights ago). The instructions are clear. I've been with them through 3 product changes (this recent hyaluronic acid being most recent). BTW, I didn't notice any difference using this new formulation, so if you loved it before, you'll keep loving it. Through the years, I have tried a few other colors in this color range, but I keep coming back to 8.5 because it's the color I naturally had most of my life, though I started getting white hair at either 18 or 20 years old. I am a blue eyed blonde and I get complements on my hair all the time - I laugh and say you can have this color too - it's Loreal 8.5. Super and unnecessarily expensive with poor results

I normally get my hair coloured at hairdresser. I have deep ash blonde “base” with multi highlights. Dreaded ruining my hair with home colour. Beautiful colour. My hair feels fantastic. Roots (grey) for 25 minutes then worked the colour thru my hair for 3-5 minutes. Grey covered. Multicoloured hair. Great. Toned down any brassiness with pulling colour thru my hair for minimal time. The pre-root conditioner is great. Pulled thru bottom 1/2 of my hair.

I ordered 4 boxes & they came late, i was disheartened, however when they came i was very surprised, it covered my copper hair dye and looks and feels great, no runs or mess in the bathroom and i only needed to use 2 boxes this time so coverage is great, i hated the smell while applying, but it soon go's when you wash and the shampoo an conditioner is very refreshing, my hair is glossy and healthy, my new go to hair dye for sure.

I haven’t used the product yet as it didn’t come with any gloves which was frustrating.
