Am adding it to an existing 8-ch Crystal Vision wireless system that currently has 6 cameras.** A: I do not believe so. I would put 2 cameras side by side to get the wider angle if need be. **Q: One of my cameras just went dead. The 110 volt plug may have gotten wet & shorted out. Is there a fuse in the plug or in camera that can be replaced?** A: Not sure about a fuse but we had to replace our camera. It runs about $70. **Q: why is my new cam not working?** A: Idk...I ordered one for my 4 channel system...was told it will not work after I ordered it...they refunded my money ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very happy with the system *by R***O on July 18, 2023* I have a Crystal vision CVT 808A system.This is a good system. We got it about on 10/2028. We have had no failures in the system. Set up over a our whole house 28,000 sq ft. required the use of the built in wifi “air bridge” in the cameras. It took a couple of days for mountingand set up, including learning how to set up the air bridge which could be called a wifi repeater or extender. It is like having the wifi leap frog, from cameras closer to the control box to those farther away. It took a couple of days for planning, mounting, and configuring. In order to do the air bridge, you will want to number all your cameras. I put the lower number cameras, closed to the system controller, and the highest numbers farthest out. Another option to the air bridge is a Wifi repeater.USB drive: If you have any video you want to transfer to the police or a computer you will need a 32 fat , 32megabite, USB flash drive to copy your files too. The system will not recognize more than 32 megabytes on a drive so no use to buy a larger one.Time setting: I have put in all of the internet time servers, available and they all sync to the same time. I am in Phoenix AZ MST time zone. That should be zone -7, that's a minus 7. My time is always 30minutes fast. It would seem I need to put in -7:30 Is there anyway I can get the correct time on my system. And have it sync to standard time server. Answer from tech support: Sorry, there is no other way.Additional Cameras: I added two more cameras to my 6 cam system. I found no real difference in time or play back. So it is good. The original cameras on my system are CVT 20 WB I bought two more CVT 20 WV and that is what the model number on the box said but when I opened it I received a CVT 30 WB. The only visual difference was the base seemed a little better as it was made of aluminum not plastic. I looked up the description and it seemed to be for a different video system. It had 3MP on it and the specification on the cvt 20wb says 1080. So I returned it to the Big box store and told them it was the wrong model and they agreed. I ordered two more from Amazon and had the same thing. So I wrote a service ticket on cvtus.com and two days later I got a message saying it was the same camera. A bad mistake to have a different part number inside the box with nothing saying they are compatible as they are sold as a cvt 20wb replacement.Antennas: You can buy antennas for better signal strength that add length to the antennas for the control box and the cameras. Or for even more difficult installations you can get 4 Bingfu WiFi antennas here on amazon that provide more options for antenna location. They come with 10ft of wire which may help in some installations.The web site cvtus.com is very good. You can get all the documents you need. Software up grades, there hasn't been any. And Support. You can get any question answered by putting in a “service ticket”. It may take 1 or 2 days.
