Ease of use.

Having dyed a cotton blouse using this product before, I decided it was time to dye my faded tablecloth to a darker version of its current color. It "felt" like cotton, but I guess it is a polyester blend, and the dye did not take. It looks the same as before; still drab and faded. The product itself is so easy to use. I have a front loader. so I just took the sticker off the top, and tossed it in with the table cloth. I was so disappointed when it was finished. All of the dye was deployed, so that worked, but the polyester mix did not take, so the money went down the drain with the dye. Make sure your item is 100% Natural fibers: cotton, linen, silk

This is a great dye, and I have only given it a 1 in hopes that people read this before using. This product is meant for front loaders, NOT top loaders. I emailed the company and asked. That was their response. However, with alot of care, you can be successful with a top loader. Put your garment through a rinse cycle so it is VERY wet. Just running water over it isn’t enough. Then allow your top loader to fill enough that the garment is completely covered in water. Next, do NOT set the pod in the machine. It will merely tip over and dump dye in one spot. Instead, sprinkle the dye all around, as evenly as possible. Let the wash cycle commence. Periodically, put on a rubber glove, reach in and redistribute the fabric….while the machine is on pause, of course. When the cycle ends, run it again with detergent this time. When that ends, put your garment in the dryer and run a 3rd cycle without soap to be sure the machine is clean. Mine has a sanitizer/ cleaning ycle, so I use that. This worked perfectly for one jacket. However, I did the same thing a few days later with another garment an it was a disaster, so you take your chances. Good luck!

Does not work well

I had high hopes but nope it failed .. followed directions to a tee and it’s like nothing ever happened.. hard pass

I used this to dye some white towels orange. They look amazing.

Only 3 stars because the dye itself looks vibrant, it was easy to use, it dyed the item well etc. However, it constantly leaks dye. My item is on it's 12th wash and still turning the water bright orange. The colour weirdly hasn't faded, but it is still leaking dye whenever it gets wet. Which is such a shame really as the dye transfer makes the item unusable.

Can’t tell you how gutted I didn’t fling a couple of other items in with the brand new top 🔝 got which was delivered completely the wrong colour (long story) Reader, it is now the most beautiful autumnal orange colour, I’m delighted. So much so I might order the wrong colour again to tie dye using another colour from the range. So simple & effective. Thrilled

Thanks to Dylon paint, I transformed old, gray towels into a beautiful, vibrant orange. Now I have a beautiful set of towels that look brand new.The dye only costs £6. And right now, for that price, I have 5 towels in a beautiful color. It's worth it. I recommend it. Wery good quality .Easy to use, no mess excellent quality

Brought this to dye a a large cotton/linen pouffe cover. The pouffe means a lot to me in sentiment value not cost. The result about 20% of the fabric dyed red stains. I followed the instructions that came with the pod. I have now brought the plum colour. I'm hoping it would dye better made the pouffe worse. Maybe okay for clothes. It was easy to use although a waste of money and electric. I won't buy again.
