Once the devise is triggered. It does hold the last reading on the screen for a few seconds. Until the next trigger pull or the devise times out.

Hello,We recommend test distance like this: if you test an article with diameter of 5cm(1.97in), you can test from 20cm (7.87in). If you test an article with diameter of 10cm (3.93in), you can test from or 36cm (14.17in). If you test an article with diameter larger than 16cm(6.3in), you can test from around 40cm (15.75in) And please kindly note: you need to use the large gun hole (instead of large dot) on gun head to aim the article, because the laser is used for knowing the approximate position where you are testing.
