Excellent, strong, well made padlock. This is my second purchase to lock my secure storage lock up cage. I chose this one due to the inability to access the hasp for hammer or chisel attacks. Definitely made for the job. Some comments mentioned lack of hasp space for locking items. All I can say is, check what you are attempting to lock prior to purchase, ensure there is space. It is limited due to the anti-attack design. If I were a bit critical, it would be the cover on the base, it is a little loose and could be made to be a little better a fit for keeping the weather at bay. Not a requirement in my instance.

Love this. Definitely heavy duty. Solid, good quality, really impressive for the price. Not sure what the later version have that make them so expensive but this was for my shed and seems perfect.

This Squire padlock is really heavy, and you can tell that it would stand up to heavy hammers and chisels etc. but iam not impressed with the rubber cover at the bottom of the padlock, to protect water dust,etc getting into the key hole. It just doesn't work, keeps popping open.

I'm using this on a wooden garage door with a Federal hasp and although it's towards the bottom end of their range it's still a serious piece of kit. Squire are in the top tier of padlocks and many of their locks have a very high 'Gold Sold Secure' rating (google it for useful independent ratings) and any thief that knows what they're up to will know this. All locks can be defeated with a disc grinder and most smaller ones with bolt cutters (villains don't pick locks) but the Squire logo will probably make a potential thief move on to an easier target. That's the point of security devices, they don't prevent theft if someone is determined enough, skilled enough and is carrying the right tools but a decent lock increases time and noise and thereby the risk of getting caught.

This lock is the primary defence to my tools and mancave. It has been faultless since the date I purchased it. It still feels as secure and sturdy as it did the day I recieved it. Though it costs a fair bit more than lesser locks. This IMHO is totally worth it. So much so. I will purchase another in the new year. It gives you peace of mind. It ticks all the right boxes for me.

Received yesterday, was immediately surprised at the weight of this lock, I can imagine this being used as the main security lock on the front door of Fort Knox !. Bought to replace the lock on a lock / chain combination deal, chain was great, the included lock not so, this Squire is far superior in quality, Hopefully it will prevent my bike from going walkies as my last one did 1 month ago, used in conjunction with a ground anchor, it should work a treat, great value on Amazon too.

Excellent, compact padlock which is a lot tougher than it looks at first glance. Well made, strong build. Probably the best value for money you can find at the moment. Recommended. Why not 5 Stars? The Packaging is the problem! A big and quite thick slab of transparent hard plastic (covered with a plastic foil) where the little lock is integrated into, which is of course ideal for displaying the lock in a shop hanging display), but in these times is just not right anymore! Is a shame, a waste and completely unnecessary. A stable cardboard box or card box envelope style packaging would do fine.

Made in the UK. The Squire Stronghold Series are monster locks. Make sure you research the shackle diameter and what you are locking. The closed shackle is super secure but limits what you can slide and lock the shackle over. Fantastic locks. I chose them and Abus based on YouTube video reviews from The Lock Picking Lawyer.

Lock is better than I expected but I did not measure it the horizontal clearance was not big enough for our storage unit. Excellent build quality.

I don't know what you could possibly lock up with this lock, the hole is tiny and nothing fits in there. They would be able to cut through whatever the tiny available hole would lock up before even trying the lock itself

This a a great lock, but how is that possible they're using paper envelopes to ship a heavy lock. My envelope was empty, assuming that it get lost during transit.
