3 types of clay ammo, these are the cheapest.
So I've recently spent A LOT of time shooting my slingshot.. Since I'm in a suburban area and don't have a lot of space, and ricochets would be really bad where I have to shoot, I've been buying clay ammo. I find that good clay ammo will mostly crumble on impact, rarely ricochet, and when it does, it's going slow enough that it doesn't break anything. I've picked up three major varieties of clay ammo; Hard ammo, Soft Accurate, and Soft Cheap. Now the "Hard" ammo almost doesn't fit in the clay ammo category. Clay ammo has been fired, like pottery. What this means is that it (mostly) doesn't crumble (unless you hit a metal surface, hard) and it does not bio-degrade, The bio degrade part means, unlike the good ammo, this ammo will never rot, never melt away with the rain. It ricochets, a lot, fortunately it doesn't retain a lot of energy when it bounces, so it's just annoying and not harmful (PS. wear some kind of eye-pro.) It's slightly cheaper than the good ammo, it's relatively consistent in size and shape, it's very barely lighter than the good clay (because they fired the water out.) This type of clay is a lot like glass ammo, kinda useless. If you're trying to re-use ammo, you need a trap or a catch, and steel out performs clay/glass in cost and ballistics, so I would probably avoid this type. The Soft Accurate ammo is the best because it comes in a uniform size and weight, and crumbles away with the rain. Sometimes they might have a coating on the outside of the ammo, or a tint, I prefer the light colored ammo because you can track the flight easier. Being accurate is all about a consistent, repeatable shot, so uniformity of ammo is critical. This is the kind I prefer to buy. Generally this is the most expensive, but only by a few bucks. This ammo is what I call Soft Cheap. It is soft, so it will crumble very nicely when it hits something, but, due to lack of attention in packing, it is covered in dust, so turns your fingers and sling pouch yellow like some low-budget Cheetos. The size is all over the place, some are almost marble size, some tiny, some football shaped. Don't get me wrong, if you're shooting rocks now, this is an improvement, but if you're going for accuracy, spend the few bucks more and get the better ammo.

Nice! 3 Bags of 600
Just to mention that the ammo came in a three smaller bags inside a larger bag, and that those smaller bags of 600 each, fit perfectly inside my jeans pocket - this makes for a cleaner, and an almost effortless way of carrying ammo when shooting lots, over longer periods of time.Only knocking off one star for the inconsistencies in the ammo which can cause accuracy issues - those inconsistencies were advertised, and were expected, but it can cause some ammo to veer off course in weird ways over longer distances. Honestly (and realistically), for the price, this stuff is excellent, and if, like me, you are shooting out into a forest, this ammo will not litter :0)Incidentally, these balls will create poofs of clay dust when they hit hard, against a hard target, and will mark where you hit. This ammo is great and a lot of fun to plink with. Shot my way through 600 of the things in less than a week, I will be ordering more.

Right on
so been trying to chase off some squirrels from the bird feeder. Got a new sling shot (simple shots, great guys) and wanted ammo that wouldn't take out the neighbors or that I'd be running over and shooting with the lawn mower. These pellets are great fun to practice with and they do just melt away with the rain. Found a few mis-shaped pellets but out of 600 I've shot already only two that I can remember. Good weight so they still work nice on targets and make a nice hole in a pop can.

GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!
Absolutely loved this ammo! Heard all the horror stories about ammo falling apart, not flying well, among other things. Had ZERO issues! In total of 1500 count I bought (17) bbs broke prematurely. That includes from shipping to target.Only complaint that I have is totally on me. The weight is lighter than I expected, so had to reduce my usual band size.GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!!

Glad I Found This Ammo
A lot of pigeons consider my home their home. I don't agree! I've been using some BB size steel ball that came with an ammo sampler for slingshots, useful for a basement gallery, but not for pigeons at any distance. Still, they hear the SNAP sound and know something's in the air and leave... temporarily. I don't like leaving that steel all over the place and was very pleased to discover this clay ammo during a search one day. I think it's great... about 10mm in size, and biodegradable as well, it makes a nice CRACK when it hits a tree. Maybe sometime I'll actually hit a pigeon with it!

Good price
The color was not what was shown the ones I received was real dark and it makes it hard to adjust the aim.

Moves the horse out of the pond when having to halter him up!
It's a good product in general. They fly as straight as one aims, are hard but break up at just right. If they were put into a package that one could dispense they better, that would be great. I poured them into 2oc plastic soda bottles, for storage and more controlled dispensing.

They suit my purposes
Which are mainly to chase the geese off my lawn. Rarely hit one from 20 yards, but when I do, the geese appear to be annoyed, and they leave. So I am satisfied.
